My wife, Gena, and I discovered this past week that in her small mountain hometown in Plumas County, California, our pastor's church was kicked out of the county building it had been renting for Sunday church services. What's disgusting is that the eviction is engulfed in political moves to stop the church from meeting there.

NBC Nightly News offered two stories on Christmas in their December 25 newscast, including a show-ender about “what Christmas means to me.” Somehow, this perfectly pleasant three-minute segment included lot of talk about family time and presents, and even someone saying “Happy Hanukkah,” but included no one uttering the name “Jesus.” No one defined Christmas as about Christ, NBC?

Couldn't the New York Times give it a rest on Christmas Day and feature a column by a believing Christian? No, it couidn't. Instead, believers who blunder onto the online op-ed page today are hit with a lead column entitled "Religion Without God."
