Legendary country musician Charlie Daniels passed away today at age 83. Many Americans knew him for his rousing country music, but he was also a great patriot. MRC founder and president Brent Bozell gave him the William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence in 2016, and he gave a great acceptance speech.

A day after a stirring speech at Mount Rushmore the liberal media reacted to by spewing hate, lies, and venom, President Donald Trump spoke Saturday night from the White House and called out them out for “falsely and consistently label[ing] their opponents as racists” and declared that their attacks on America as racist “slander” those who’ve fought and died for the country.

The hacks at CBS This Morning on Monday jumped on the cancel culture bandwagon, hyping the effort to force the Washington Redskins to change their name. Reporter Chip Reid featured an ESPN host assailing the “bloody” nickname. NOWHERE in the entire segment was any mention that Native Americans have been repeatedly polled and overwhelmingly support the name.

But PBS really went too far this time, conflating a recent video by conservative activist Candace Owens with a couple of members of an extremist group who murdered a law enforcement officer, Dave Underwood.

President Trump’s rousing Friday night speech at Mount Rushmore made the front page of The Washington Post on Sunday. It was distorted, almost beyond recognition. The Page One headline was “Trump’s racial animus rattles GOP.”

Is there anything sillier than The New York Times calling anyone else's tone "dark and divisive"? The paper’s Twitter feed captured the tone: “President Trump delivered a dark and divisive speech at Mount Rushmore, leaning into the culture wars and barely mentioning the pandemic.”
