GLAAD Rubber Stamps Hulu's Trans Propaganda Film

Hulu is airing a new documentary June 1 aimed at giving transgender athletes the opportunity to take back their narrative. The far-Left pressure group GLAAD lent a helping hand to assure the program meets LGBT acceptance.

You read that right. This documentary seeks to take back the transgender story line. It’s a narrative that the media en masse have already perpetuated: girls can be boys and boys can be girls. The boys wreaking havoc on girls sports are really girls.

Hulu’s promo of “Changing the Game” says “filmmaker Michael Barnett’s urgent and subsuming sports documentary illuminates what many have called the civil rights issue of our time: transgender inclusion in sports …”

Civil rights sleight of hand, is more like it. The Left is mistaking the psychological problem of gender confusion with civil rights.

Alex Reimer, writer for the LGBT propaganda blog Outsports, said the documentary arrives just in time for pride month:

You know the names: Mack Beggs. Andraya Yearwood (seen in the above photo). Sarah Huckman. They are three transgender high school athletes whose desires to compete athletically became front page news, and centerpieces of the roiling debate surrounding trans inclusion in sports.

Throwing any aspersions of media independence to the wind, Hulu included transgender Alex Schmidler, the associate director of Transgender Representation for GLAAD, as one of the documentary’s producers. Dr. James Dobson and Tony Perkins must not have been available to provide balance.

Schmidler was there to assure the final product earned the LGBT seal of approval. The phrase “GLAAD rewrites the script for LGBTQ acceptance,” is boldly displayed on its website. Schmidler’s own words confirm that this was every bit as much a GLAAD film as a Hulu production:

We noticed in making our film that media was only interested in telling one specific narrative about trans young people and trans athletes, which is that there is such controversy when they’re winning. But what we never see is when a trans athlete is not winning, when they are just participating, there’s never any media coverage around that. (emphases added)

Schmidler is right that that the media is only interested in telling one narrative. It’s the dominant left-stream media directive promoting the myth of gender transition, and that anyone who says the boy won the girls race is guilty of a pronoun crime.

The GLAAD transgender person hopes the project portrays the highlighted athletes as the kids they are. Those would be the children manipulated for political purposes by LGBT pressure groups and their lapdog media pals.

Schmidler groans that, for marginalized communities, trans kids' innocence is taken away at an early age “because you either have to be standing in front of state legislators defending your humanity, or you just know how dangerous and violent the world can be because you simply exist as the person you are.”

Who exactly is robbing these young ones of their innocence? Is it Fox News and Focus on the Family? Or is it the LGBT groups, Planned Parenthood, the National Education Association who encourage kids to experiment sexually and to embrace gender confusion with the full approval of their left-stream media friends?

Changing The Game” will allow its transgender subjects “to portray themselves in their own words — free from political campaigns and propaganda,” Reimer wrote. Hypocritically.

Phew! It sure is a relief to know GLAAD, Hulu, the Human Rights Campaign, The New York Times, Outsports, et al, are NOT engaging in any propaganda or political power moves.
