Feeling so strongly that a Trump re-election would ruin the country, Oprah Winfrey is putting in millions of dollars of her own company’s money into a voting “initiative” for left-wing black women.
Aptly titled “OWN the Vote,” as it’s being rolled out by the mogul’s eponymous Oprah Winfrey Network, the initiative is a voter registration/get-out-the vote campaign specifically targeted at disenfranchised African American female voters.
THR described “OWN the Vote'' as a “bipartisan campaign that partners with national and local grassroots and voting rights organizations to provide tools and resources for Black women to vote in the November election.”
“Bipartisan,” as in Democrat or Social Democrat. THR wrote that “OWN has partnered with dozens of organizations, including the NAACP, Color of Change and the ACLU,” to target Oprah fans and sympathetic Democrat voters in “battleground states” like Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
OWN’s goal is to help people “grappling with the COVD-19 pandemic, calls for racial justice, and unprecedented obstacles to voting in federal, state and local elections” take out their frustrations by voting Dem, it’s safe to assume. Speaking of “unprecedented obstacles to voting,” OWN the Vote specifically referenced President Trump’s opposition to “mail-in-ballots,” and slammed him for ignoring “dangers of in-person voting during a pandemic.”
OWN also reminded prospective readers that the president would “suggest delaying the election.” Yep, they need a united lefty front against Trump stealing the election for a second time.
Oprah’s company president Tina Perry also expressed the company’s commitment to the far left, “COVID-19 and the racial justice movement have highlighted the need for urgent policy reform to balance disparities that exist regarding affordable health care, systemic racism and racial discrimination.” Oh right. Screw the system. “Defund the police.” All that jazz.
It’s no surprise that Oprah’s company is going all in for this radical, “dismantle the system” talk Just a few weeks ago, Winfrey announced her partnership with Lionsgate on producing TV series and films based the anti-American alternate history the “1619 Project,” from the New York Times and white people-hating journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones.
It also doesn’t help paint a “bipartisan” image when OWN’s video advertisement bludgeons viewers with images of Black Lives Matter protests in between shots of black fists in the air, and failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-OH) speaking. Again, really bipartisan.
At the outset of the “OWN the Vote” video, Oprah booms, “We find our nation on the precipice, a true tipping point. Our audience has a powerful voice. I am proud to be a part of this movement that will create the change we want to see for our country."
And you get new health care! And you get new quotas! And you get new voter fraud!
