Good Morning America’s Dan Harris on Sunday lectured viewers on worrying too much about terrorism and instead pushed gun control. Regarding Islamic plots, he wondered, “But, how serious is this threat, really?” Harris noted, “Terror attacks are actually quite rare. Since 9/11, Islamic extremists have killed 45 Americans on U.S. soil. Five a year, on average.” 

As news of the San Bernardino jihadist shootings blared on airport TVs, I spotted a TSA monitor flashing the now ubiquitous message: "If you SEE something, SAY something." The warning should be followed with a big "LOL" and a winky-blinky, just-kidding emoji. It's one of the emptiest slogans in modern American life.

JERUSALEM -- More than a decade after my 19th trip to Israel and the Middle East, this 20th visit shows how some things have changed, but the important ones remain the same.

President Obama has put a new twist on the Islamic invasion now taking place across Europe and the United States. Two items in the news this week highlighted a reality that politicians hate to admit. While they pretend to lead the nation, they are not in charge.

The stories of the excellent predominantly black schools of yesteryear found in Sowell's study refute the notion of "experts" that more money is needed to improve black education.

"[T]he leadership at the University of Missouri didn't lead at all. They cut and ran. To put a twist on a cliche, it isn't about the inmates taking over the asylum; rather it is about the children taking over the daycare center."

We are moving beyond the "who won" stage in these Republican debates into the "who would you be most comfortable with as president" and "who is best equipped to defeat Hillary Clinton?" The answer to both questions seems to be Sen. Marco Rubio.

The cover story of the December edition of Cosmopolitan is titled, "Sex Wish List." The article contains 24 sexual suggestions, all of which exploit the Christian and Jewish holidays. Most conspicuously, it includes a "Sex-Vent Calendar," a rip-off of the Advent calendar prized by Christians.
