At different points during their Saturday programming, MSNBC host Joy Reid and her panelists got out their tin-foil hats as they spun wild conspiracy theories of about the Special Counsel’s report and the Trump family. Between claims of racism by the investigators and claims of a collusion “cover-up”, the crazy train was doing full speed out of the station.

Appearing as a guest on Fox and Friends Saturday, during a discussion of liberal media reaction to the Mueller collusion probe, former CBS reporter Lara Logan complained that the media deceptively gave the impression that the indictments obtained so far are with regard to collusion with Russia when they were, in fact, about issues other than the main focus of the investigation.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow wasn't quite as unhinged on Friday over her Mueller Report disappointment as she was on Election Night 2016 but you could hear the cracks in her voice and notice her eyes going moist.  Her emotions ran deep as Maddow reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was not blocked in any way by Attorney General William Barr from putting what he wanted into his report. 

Perhaps no single reaction Friday night to the conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation rivaled that of MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews, who was apoplectic, inconsolable, and irate at the notion the Mueller team will not offer any further indictments in hopes of criminal charges concerning Russian collusion. And even his most adored guests couldn’t avoid his scorn.

On Friday, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News made sure to include amidst their extensive coverage on the completion of the Mueller Report that, despite the lack of any future indictments from the Special Counsel, House Democrats still have an increasing number of ongoing investigations into every aspect of President Trump’s life that could prove perilous for the White House.
