Donald Trump’s State of the Union address was immediately panned by liberal reporters, hosts and celebrities as a “divisive” speech that stoked “racial tensions” by emphasizing offensive themes like “church” “family and the “military.” Yes, you saw that right. MSNBC’s Joy Reid was appalled that Trump promoted those “terms of the bygone era.” The following are the most egregious examples of anti-Trump liberal media hate that surrounded his State of the Union address:
MSNBC’s hyperbolic, frenzied State of the Union coverage climaxed in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Despite the fact that 75 percent of Americans approved of the speech, director Rob Reiner lamented that “intelligent people” like Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow were forced to listen to the “racist” “liar” Trump.
Leave it to Hollywood to offer some less than valuable commentary on breaking stories.
Actually, leave it to Meathead. When Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) released the testimony from Glenn Simpson, founder of Fusion GPS (the company commissioned to make the Trump/Steele dossier), the actor and director weighed in with what he thought was a reasonable statement.
Meathead has returned again (does he ever really go away?) to tell the people all about President Trump.
As part of his major interview tour to raise publicity for his new film, LBJ, director Rob Reiner made an appearance on November 14 on The Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central to add two more cents to his stance on Trump, All in the Family, and sex harassment scandals. As if people needed to know more than what he’s already said.
Celebrities love being affirmed and validated. So while Hollywood is being rocked with its own sex abuse scandals around its brightest stars, plenty of has-beens are celebrating Manafort’s indictment. All of Hillary’s biggest celebrity supporters, acting as circling sharks since November 9, 2016, spent October 30 on Twitter wildly celebrating the indictment of a former campaign manager for President Donald Trump. Singer Cher stated today: “WHY DO ALL “TRUMP” ROADS LEAD TO RUSSIA.”
When Meathead isn’t pushing Russian conspiracy theories on news networks, he spends his free time … complaining about Donald Trump.
So in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, director, and liberal megaphone tried to link his latest film, LBJ, to his feelings on Trump and conservatives. When Ashley Lee asked him if he would ever direct a Trump movie, Reiner responded, “No, I don’t think I would be interested in that. I just want him to go away. This is a satire that you can’t make it up. It’s like you don’t have to change anything.”
On Tuesday’s Morning Joe, the panel brought Hollywood director Rob Reiner on to promote his upcoming film LBJ. The outspoken left-winger was very comfortable going into attack mode on President Trump when prompted, but upon being asked about the allegations of rape and sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein, Reiner was extremely reluctant to address the issue at length.
An alliance of far-leftists and Never-Trumpers has formed a group called the "Committee to Investigate Russia." In a video posted on Monday, octogenarian actor Morgan Freeman contended that the United States is "at war" with Russia. On Thursday, Fox News's Tucker Carlson interviewed actor and director Rob Reiner, a member of that group's advisory board. Despite Reiner's outwardly cool demeanor, Carlson's lines of questioning seemed to catch the guy who is still perhaps best known for having played "Meathead" back in the 1970s on CBS's All in the Family utterly off-guard.
Russia gets a lot of attention in the media. Not because it’s super-important, but because the media can’t wait to validate their obsession with it, and in the meantime, it’s a handy club to beat Donald Trump with.
Liberals in the media and Hollywood were outraged after former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer made a guest appearance on stage to poke fun at himself at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, September 17. Offended journalists from several major media outlets took to Twitter to complain that Spicer’s appearance wasn’t funny in the slightest, but it “normalized” him as a “liar.”
MRC's Brent Baker caught a nasty attack from Hollywood director Rob Reiner on MSNBC's airwaves Saturday after the news broke that a woman counter-protesting white supremacists was hit and killed by a car backing up at extreme speed. Reiner called Trump an "accessory" to the death for "stoking this stuff" of white resentment. Reiner recently tweeted about the need for "all-out war" on the president.
As father and son comedy writers and liberal activists Carl Reiner and Rob Reiner appeared as guests on Friday's Tavis Smiley Show on PBS, the two lamented that former President Barack Obama -- whom Carl called "the smartest President we've had since way back" -- was replaced by President Donald Trump -- whom Rob derided as "clearly mentally unstable." A bit later, Rob Reiner blamed "racism" that was "unleashed" after Obama's election for the Republican-controlled Senate blocking him from appointing Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, as he seemed to tie in birtherism and declared that "all of that is about delegitimizing an African-American person and everything that's followed from that."
