Just when it seemed that the reaction to the death of former President George H. W. Bush was dying down, former ESPN anchor and far-left writer Jemele Hill of The Atlantic did her best to use the situation to inflame any racist sentiments held by black Americans. The article from Hill asserted that the Obamas “were gracious to the Trumps” because they “had to be” since “black people have no choice but to act benevolently toward whites for fear of more punishment.”



On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid scoffs at the suggestion by guest Tiffany Cross that a ticket of Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey could beat President Trump "by a landslide." Reid says: "we know racially-polarized voting is a real thing and people will say they will vote for Oprah until she is on the ballot."



CNN's New Day co-host Alisyn Camerota broke out the pom-poms for Michelle Obama on Monday, wistfully speculating (on multiple occasions) that the “superstar” and “rockstar” might consider a presidential run in 2020.



During her fawning one-hour show devoted to promoting Michelle Obama’s new memoir on Thursday, daytime host and Democratic activist Ellen DeGeneres put together a montage of liberal journalists showering the former First Lady with adoring coverage throughout Barack Obama’s administration. DeGeneres told Mrs. Obama that the purpose of the sycophantic video was to celebrate her “amazing impact.”



ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel was next in line to assist former First Lady Michelle Obama in promoting her new memoir. On Thursday night’s show, the liberal host used that opportunity to beg Obama to convince her husband to enter politics again, comparing him to Superman and President Trump to his evil arch nemesis, Lex Luthor.



Despite promising that correspondent Oprah Winfrey was “stepping away” from the network due to her active campaigning for Democrats, CBS allowed Winfrey back on This Morning, Wednesday, to promote Michelle Obama’s new book. In total, Democrat Winfrey and Democratic donor/co-host Gayle King have devoted 22 minutes and 44 seconds to the former First Lady’s new book, Becoming. 



You would think ABC was getting royalties off of Michelle Obama’s new book for all the time they’ve spent promoting it. Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts spent Tuesday morning in Chicago with Obama and her brother before a live audience where she gave a friendly interview to the former first lady about her new memoir, after devoting an entire 20/20 special to the book on Sunday.



Just 12 days after CBS correspondent Oprah Winfrey “stepped away” to campaign for Democrat Stacey Abrams in Georgia, Winfrey is back on the network and you’ll never guess what she’s doing: Praising a Democrat. Winfrey’s best friend, Gayle King, introduced Oprah on Monday, to reveal the next book club selection: Michelle Obama’s new autobiography. 



ABC’s 20/20 special on Michelle Obama Sunday night was about what you’d expect from the same network who hailed the “transcendent, communal joy” and “dancing in the streets” after Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008. While just a few weeks ago, ABC’s 20/20 on Melania Trump spent nearly every minute on controversies and strife in the White House and their marriage, this episode on the Obamas was a complete 180 in tone and content, with not even a brief mention of Obama's own controversies.



In anticipation for her new memoir to be released next week, the networks spent ample time Friday morning promoting Michelle Obama’s book, where the former First Lady blames Trump for the violence happening across the country and claims that his rhetoric endangered her family’s lives.



When Netflix announced a production deal further enriching Barack and Michelle Obama in May, it was reported that “Obama's projects are not intended to address President Donald Trump or conservatives. Instead, it would focus on inspirational content.” But their first deal is to develop the Michael Lewis book The Fifth Risk as a potential series. The book details chaos at cabinet departments during the Trump administration.



It was a stark contrast at the top of Friday's Style section of The Washington Post. At the far right was a typically harsh anti-Trump piece by media columnist Margaret Sullivan headlined "For Trump, USA Today acts like USA Toady." Really? Right next to that piece was a toadying puff piece on Michelle Obama by Peter Slevin. The subhead was "Michelle Obama steps into the spotlight to promote voting and girls' education (and sell a zillion copies of her memoir, Becoming)."
