Filling in for Scott Pelley on Wednesday’s CBS Evening News, Charlie Rose provided a wrap-up of Tuesday’s Fox Business Networks Republican presidential debate and seemed exasperated when he wondered to Face the Nation anchor John Dickerson “why” did the GOP candidates level “a lot of attacks on Hillary Clinton.”

On Wednesday's The View, liberal co-host Joy Behar surprisingly hit Hillary Clinton for failing to condemn one of her supporters who said he wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina. Behar admitted that “if somebody had said that to Donald Trump and he had laughed, we would be ripping him a new one and she did not -- she should have stood up to him, I'm sorry, I have to say that.”  

During a town hall meeting in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Hillary Clinton refused to condemn a supporter of hers who said they wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina and instead laughed at his violent proclamation. ABC and NBC have so far ignored the story altogether.

After the CNBC debate, Republicans were outraged at the vicious personal attacks not even  disguised as questions from the moderators. Defenders of CNBC suggested the Republicans were just whining. Without a hint of irony, the most superficial network news show in ABC’s Nightline mocked Tuesday’s Fox Business Network Republican debate on their early Wednesday morning installment as nothing more than a “reality show” along the lines of The Bachelor and Survivor “where the stakes couldn’t be higher.”

During a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Tuesday, a supporter of Hillary Clinton told the Democratic front-runner that he wanted to “strangle” Carly Fiorina, after he was laid off from his job at Hewlett-Packard. Rather than denounce her supporter’s violent statement against Ms. Fiorina, Clinton instead laughed in amusement, as did the entire audience, before she joked that she “wouldn’t mess”…

In the wake of an appeals court ruling that handed President Obama a major defeat for his plan to grant executive amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, on her MSNBC show on Tuesday, host Andrea Mitchell only saw victory for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign: “...this is a win-win proposition for Hillary Clinton. On today's Morning Joe, an incensed Joe Scarborough told Hugh Hewitt he was "full of it," and that "you owe me an apology."  Scarborough was steamed that Hewitt seemed to suggest that Joe was part of the "Manhattan-DC Beltway elite" that refused to cover Hillary's scandals. Scarborough said "I put my neck on the line every day here," covering Hillary and criticizing media bias. 

With memories of 2008 dancing in their heads, the writers of CBS’ The Good Wife have Gov. Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) going from having hopes of becoming Hillary Clinton’s vice president on the Democratic ticket to being the candidate for president himself. While NBC’s Today saw only setbacks and controversy for Republican presidential candidates on Friday, the morning show happily applauded Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton telling late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel that she would win a hypothetical election against husband Bill Clinton.
