Following President Trump’s forceful speech to the United Nations on Tuesday, Wednesday’s network morning shows all rushed to find Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Leon Panetta to blast the address as “dangerous,” “out of place” and a push to “threaten war.”  

All three networks on Wednesday grilled United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley about Donald Trump’s “threatening” language to North Korea, wondering if the President’s speech was “appropriate.” But it was CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King who twisted the English language to worry about how the talk would impact the “President of North Korea.” 

In a glowing profile marking the 10th anniversary of left-wing political satire website Funny or Die, on Tuesday’s NBC Today, correspondent Cynthia McFadden gushed: “Well, the writers at Funny or Die readily admit to leaning left, but they say their goal is to create comedy that transcends party lines....‘Funny is funny’ is their mantra.”

Unsurprisingly, CBS and PBS avoided identifying the progressive politician as a Democrat. Today co-host Savannah Guthrie, however described him as a “Democrat” and “vocal critic of Donald Trump.”

What’s more important? A staff member for a Republican senator apparently “liking” a pornographic tweet on Twitter or a Democratic senator on trial for bribery and corruption, facing possible resignation and years in prison? If you answered with the first option, then you might work for NBC News.
