If anyone was hoping the third time would be the charm for consistently constructive or tough questions at a post-election Joe Biden press conference, Thursday illustrated that such a hope was a fool’s errand. Over the course of the 15-minute availability, the Biden team had the former vice president receive questions from only four reporters with three of them offering softballs.

Four days after comparing President Trump refusing to concede the election to Hitler and the Holocaust, CNN International and PBS host Christiane Amanpour offered a mealy-mouthed non-apology on Monday’s show, telling viewers that she “shouldn’t have juxtaposed the two thoughts” and that she “regret[s] any pain that my statement may have caused.”

It's bad enough that CNN International anchor Christiane Amanpour viciously tried on Thursday night to compare President Trump not conceding the election to Kristallnacht and genocide of the Jews. It's worse that this mudslinging was replayed on taxpayer-funded PBS, where "viewers like us" -- and some super-wealthy Jewish donors -- were announced as her sponsors. 

On Saturday's PBS NewsHour Weekend, correspondent Yamiche Alcindor delivered commentary that sounded like partisan Democratic spin as she proclaimed that Joe Biden had defeated President Donald Trump with a "record number of voters," and then declared that it was "political poetry" that Senator Kamala Harris was part of the ticket beat Trump after his history of birtherism.

Appearing as a guest on Wednesday's Amanpour & Co., CBS News president Susan Zirinsky proclaimed that the journalists on her network are "unbiased" and are "seeking the truth" in spite of the frequently left-leaning slant of its news shows. She went on to proclaim that her network does not give its audience "opinions," but are "fair and unbiased."
