Stewart hawked his new book, Deep State, by hailing bureaucrats undermining the Trump administration as noble public servants “protecting the Constitution” and the American people from the President. He denounced any criticism of the “deep state” as “very dangerous.”

Why would Republican appear on the "mainstream" Sunday shows? You could wonder after Sen. Ron Johnson was disgusted by moderator Chuck Todd's "very biased opening" segment on Meet the Press, and Todd openly fought with him and wouldn't let him finish a point as Johnson tried to tell Todd what he should ask John Brennan later in the show. Brennan received gooey sympathy.

NBC IGNORES Record Low Employment Rate, New Jobs Report

The jobs report that came out Friday showed that the unemployment rate dropped to 3.5 percent; the lowest in half a century. Yet, the three evening newscasts on the “alphabet soup” networks decided that this historic occasion merited little to no coverage. NBC Nightly News did not bring up the jobs report at all while the other two newscasts spent a combined 32 seconds on the economy.

Cancel Culture types pack an emotional point when they call people out for telling the “wrong” jokes. Marginalized groups shouldn’t be the butt of gags. They’re already at a disadvantage in our culture, and being mocked can only make matters worse. Children like eco-activist Greta Thunberg and Parkland High School students deserve a measure of protection.
