With the imminent release of the first of what will surely be a legion of books authored by Legacy Media types on the obvious cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, there is a modicum of media self-interest in reporting on the book’s disclosures. But there remains a hesitancy to cover this issue at the Legacy newscasts.

The legacy media have largely avoided reporting on Friday’s ICE-Surrection at a New Jersey detention facility. On this Sunday’s CNN State of the Union, however, we see what clearly looks to be favorable coverage that sidesteps the violent nature of what happened there.

In both 2005 and 2013, when Popes Benedict XVI and Francis were elected, American journalists reacted to each Pope’s elevation by complaining about their traditional conservative attitudes while lobbying for the Church to “liberalize” on a host of issues.

The latest episode of CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip, also known as the Thunderdome, proves the old maxim that sometimes the best way to make a conservative argument is to just let liberals talk. This is especially true in the case of the recent ban on transgender individuals in the military.

CNN’s Brian Stelter led his “Reliable Sources” newsletter on Wednesday with the event he’s attending for "Truth Tellers." Stelter suggested journalists have to be "at war" with Trump, they can't be "pacifists" or they lose. He noted Jeffrey Goldberg said "every day is kind of Watergate at this point," underlining they always want to drive Trump out of power.

On CNN's State of the Union, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, discussing his possible run for the presidency, describes himself as socially liberal "pretty much across the board," adding, "I believe in live and let live." But since abortion is at the top of the board of liberal social issues, Smith apparently doesn't believe "live and let live" extends to unborn children.

The Friday primetime lineups of CNN and MSNBC did not handle the news that President Trump signed an executive order forbidding taxpayer money for PBS and NPR well, as they portrayed the news as an assault on everything from democracy, science, the military, farmers, and even the country itself.

On Thursday's Anderson Cooper 360, CNN showed a pre-recorded report highlighting liberal contributor Van Jones speaking with three black voters who switched from voting Democrat to voting for Donald Trump, but hinted that they voted that way because of "misinformation."
