On one of the more chaotic days in Washington anyone will experience, CNN’s The Situation Room saw a 22-minute interview that careen off the rails from the get-go on Thursday night between host Wolf Blitzer and White House senior adviser Stephen Miller that touched on the resignation of Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and the likelihood of a government shutdown over border security.

Over the past 10 days, journalists on CNN and MSNBC have dutifully repeated the Democrats’ claim that “the walls are closing in” around President Trump. Cable hosts and their guests have used this precise verbiage a total of 50 times since December 10 – and that’s not including the instances in which Democratic politicians repeated the assertion on TV.

During Tuesday’s edition of Cuomo Prime Time, host Chris Cuomo slammed Fox News’s  Tucker Carlson for his “hateful speech” that caused companies who run ads during his show to jump ship. It did not take long for the segment to get personal, with Cuomo mocking Carlson’s “puppy dog puss.”

On Tuesday's New Day on CNN, as John Avlon hosted the show's regular "Reality Check" segment, he again demonstrated that this part of the show is more about pushing liberal spin than it is about actual fact-checking or making the audience informed as he misleadingly claimed that the Trump admnistration was not required by law to separate children from illegal immigrant parents.

In a report that was somehow supposed to be comedy, CNN reporter Jeanne Moos ended Monday’s Erin Burnett OutFront by comparing President Trump to infamous mob bosses, both real and fictional. “When President Trump referred to his former attorney as a ‘rat’ for talking to the government, critics came scurrying,” she quipped, later mocking how the President “knows all the best words, mob words.”

After Melania Trump called out the “opportunistic” media during an interview with Sean Hannity, and after the First Lady’s spokeswoman came to her defense during the ensuing media brouhaha, lefties in showbiz and the media have doubled down on the insults. Cameron Cawthorne at the Washington Free Beacon reported that Thursday night's CNN Tonight began with host Don Lemon looking annoyed at Chris Cuomo, asking an exasperated "Why?" as in why he would dedicate 39 minutes of his show to squabbling with Kellyanne Conway. Lemon thinks Conway is a complete waste of time. He obviously thinks porn star Stormy Daniels is a more respectable guest. 

On New Day Saturday, as CNN continued to cover the story of an illegal immigrant whose seven-year-old daughter died possibly of dehydration after he illegally transported her across the desert, the show gave an unchallenged forum to liberal activist to complain about the Trump administration's handling of illegal immigration as if such deaths were the government's fault.
