On Sunday, CBS’s 60 Minutes and NBC Nightly News acted like P.R. reps for far-left illegal immigration groups, standing up for illegals and teaming with liberal churches leading “peaceful rebellions” to knock those seeking to enforce America’s laws.
April marked the lowest unemployment rate in a decade, but that didn’t stop one NBC news show from spending far more time covering jobs being lost to Mexico.
“Hiring picked up,” that month according to CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley. All three broadcast network evening shows reported the “positive” jobs report which the Bureau of Labor Statistics released May 5. But the evening shows spent very little time on it that night even though the national unemployment rate dipped to 4.4 percent — the “lowest in ten years.”
Appearing in MSNBC’s 3 p.m. ET hour on Thursday, Evelyn Farkas, the former Obama administration official who admitted on national television earlier this month that the Democratic administration was trying to “get as much information” as possible about Donald Trump and his associates, claimed she was actually the victim of a “dark campaign of fake news.”
Appearing on MSNBC’s 3 p.m. ET hour on Tuesday under the guise of being a “presidential historian,” left-wing pundit Douglas Brinkley accused President Trump and his associates – without evidence – of committing an act of “treason.” He went on rant that the President’s new executive order rolling back onerous Obama-era environmental regulations was “an assault on the public lands.”
Let the freak out begin. MSNBC and CNN on Tuesday went nuclear over Donald Trump’s move to roll back Barack Obama’s “signature” climate policies, whining that the President is “destroying” and “obliterating” the Democrat’s efforts. The CNN graphics department went into overdrive with one biased description reading, “Trump Signs Order Dismantling Obama Climate Record.”
Of all the current event subjects one could devote attention to, the NBC Nightly News on Sunday bizarrely ran a two-minute full report on a new hotel in Bethlehem that displays anti-Israel art, and essentially lobbies against the security barrier that was erected over a decade ago to protect Israelis from terrorism. As the piece relayed the artist's opposition to the barrier, nowhere did the report remind viewers of why it was built in the first place: to ward off Palestinian Arab suicide bombers.
As if the media hasn’t fawned over President Obama’s “legacy” enough, NBC did so again Sunday night, promoting an over-the-top farewell video from the White House. In the video, celebrities and activists gush over their “favorite Obama moment” in the past 8 years. The answers ranged from the trite to the controversial, from climate change to Michelle’s fashion, from Obamacare to healthy school lunches.
MSNBC flaunted their disdain of President-Elect Donald Trump Thursday afternoon when they invited leftist author Michael Lewis on to discuss the Trump bashing games he detailed in Vanity Fair. Host Kate Snow was more than happy to play along, starting the segment off with a quote from Lewis’ article, “The theme is sort of about a board game you say, ‘Will reveal the predicaments of the entire classes of Americans under Donald Trump. And consequences for great swaths of our society.’”
Terrible news broke out of Berlin, Germany Monday after a truck drove through a Christmas market, killing nine people and injuring dozens, in an apparent terrorist attack. As with many horrific attacks, the partisans rushed to politicize it, but during the 3 p.m. ET hour of MSNBC Live, Juergen Kloeckner from the Huffington Post whined that the German right wing seemed to have beat the left to the punch.
On Sunday, NBC Nightly News continued the onslaught of liberal fretting with a segment about gays and transgender people “fearing change” under President-elect Donald Trump such as gay marriages being overturned (despite Trump making clear on CBS that the matter is settled) and the “quick movement toward transgender rights” being set “to slow down” due to Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence.
On the heels of his contentious CNN segment on Monday doing what CNN’s journalists wouldn’t in bringing up Donna Brazile’s firing, American Conservative Union (ACU) president Matt Schlapp brought the heat on Thursday afternoon to MSNBC as he demolished the assertions put forth by host Kate Snow's brusing aside of a Fox News Channel (FNC) report about the FBI investigating the Clinton Foundation.
President Barack Obama spoke to reporters on Wednesday afternoon on the Paris climate change agreement and, almost on cue, NBC’s Ron Allen connected global warming to Hurricane Matthew set to bear down on the Bahamas, the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. It was "what the president was talking about as the threat that the planet faces and this is what this whole climate agreement signed by 190 nations and now ratified by 60 or so is designed to stop."
