DISGUSTING! NBC Plays Hamas Mouthpiece, Cheers ‘Rallies’ on ‘Both Sides’ in U.S.

October 9th, 2023 4:33 PM

Sunday’s NBC Nightly News engaged in a disgusting display of (false) equivalency by cheering “[r]allies supporting both sides” — Israeli and Palestinian — “across the United States” amid “security fears at synagogues and mosques” after Palestinian terrorists maimed, murdered, kidnapped, mutilated, and raped thousands of innocent Israelis on Saturday.

At no point did NBC actually explain any of the anti-Israeli, anti-Semitic, and pro-violence statements actually made at the Palestinian gathering, whether it’s chants of “from the river to the sea” and “globalize the intifada” to signs such as “long live the Palestinian resistance” and “resistance is justified when people are occupied”.

Sunday anchor Kate Snow boasted in a tease of “[r]allies supporting both sides across the United States today, and the security fears at synagogues and mosques nationwide.”

Snow did it again leading into correspondent Kathy Park’s story: “There were rallies across the U.S. today both in support of Israel and in support of the larger Palestinian cause. It comes as security was ramped up at synagogues and mosques nationwide.”

Blowing past the pro-Jihad line of “globalize the intifada” from a Palestinian protest in Washington D.C., Park played off the confab in New York City as perfectly harmless and above board:

PARK: Tonight, the crossroads of the world becoming a deep dividing point with Palestinian supporters on one side of the street — [TO PRO-PALESTINIAN PROTESTER] What brought you out here today?

MALE PALESTINIAN PROTESTER IN NYC: To stand against the oppression that’s been occurring in Palestine for — over the past five decades.

WHITE FEMALE PALESTINIAN PROTESTER: Palestinian people have had enough.

PARK: — while yards away, a tense face-off with dozens standing up for Israel.

After two soundbites from pro-Israel supporters, she returned to the side of the terrorists and continuing to seem neutral when talking about the Palestinian rally: “As you can see, emotions are running high. This rally is now on the move. We’re told they’re headed straight to the Israeli consulate.”

Park again ducked and refused to call out sound from the protest that called for Israel’s eradication: “Palestine will be free! From the river to the sea!”

She kept up the charade by showing more footage from New York City and Washington as well as shouts from one in Chicago, she painted security concerns among Jews and Muslims as equal (click “expand”):

PARK: The growing movement on both sides heightening security from coast to coast. The NYPD keeping close watch on the ground and in the air, launching drones to monitor today’s events while in Salt Lake City, police increased patrols following unspecified threats targeting Jewish institutions. Synagogues in Miami Beach and Beverly Hills ramping up their presence too. Tonight, the crisis in the Middle East fueling demonstrations thousands of miles away.

(....)

SNOW: And Kathy is with us in New York. So, New York City is taking some extra measures now?

PARK: Kate, that’s right. We saw that today and we understand those extra efforts will extend to synagogues and mosques until further notice.

With it being a doubleheader day of NFL games on CBS, the CBS Weekend News only aired on the West Coast. Anchor Jericka Duncan had a sentence that also engaged in this false equivalency near the top of the show: “Here in New York, hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian supporters held rival rallies in Times Square.”
