Late Wednesday night, MSNBC’s post-2020 Democratic debate panelists were locked and loaded, offering praise for South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s “exceptional” and “pretty flawless debate performance,” the sitting U.S. Senators for having done “very well,” and Cory Booker set to gain in the polls. At the other end, panelists trashed former Vice President Joe Biden for a “colossal gaffe”…

Even before the MSNBC Democratic primary debate was finished on Wednesday, CNN was already live with their post-debate analysis. And during a day marked by hours upon hours of televised impeachment hearings, their analysts and commentators discovered that, in many ways, their obsession with impeaching President Trump was hurting their party’s primary process.

Despite how they were dismissive of his truthfulness prior to Wednesday and the fact that he could not directly implicate President Trump in a quid pro quo scheme with Ukraine, ABC, CBS, and NBC heralded the public testimony of E.U. Ambassador Gordon Sondland as a “bombshell” from “the most pivotal witness yet.”

The liberal media is not known for its deep and abiding respect for the US military. Yet in the opening segment alone of today's Morning Joe, there were no fewer than nine instances of members of the panel referring to Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman as a "hero" or Purple Heart recipient. They eagerly awaited the downfall of the Trump Administration and the schadenfreude that would inevitably come with seeing "Trumpists" react to Sondland's testimony.

The TV ratings took another dive on Tuesday morning for Day 3 of the Democrats’ impeachment hearings, with only 11.4 million tuning in to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and the Fox News Channel for the testimony of Lt. During an 11:00 a.m. ET hour break in Wednesday’s impeachment hearing, all three broadcast networks eagerly proclaimed the U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, was “directly implicating” President Trump in a “quid pro quo” with Ukraine. On Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, while recounting Tuesday’s impeachment hearings, correspondent Major Garrett hammered House Republicans for daring to criticize or raise credibility issues about some of the witnesses. The reporter claimed the GOP members were demanding a “loyalty test” from those government officials in support of President Trump.

Amidst the break between Tuesday’s two impeachment hearings and their near-universal condemnation anyone who isn’t either a Democrat or witness, CNN hosts John King and Jake Tapper took issue with the legitimate ability of Donald Trump, Jr. to offer firm disagreements with the impeachment process and witness Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman.

As if he was the hero they needed to vanquish their nemesis, the liberal media fell in love with the public impeachment testimony of White House Ukraine adviser Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman.
