The thrust is to accuse her of being a "pinball machine," or as they have said before, a "weathervane" and a "flip-flopper" when it comes to her opinion of President Trump. On Tuesday's MTP Daily on MSNBC, host Chuck Todd battled Indiana Sen. Mike Braun over the GOP's refusal to assist the Democrats in passing their agenda by raising the debt ceiling. According to Todd, the GOP have been playing "Russian Roulette" and threatening to "punish the American economy" with an "absurd" "game of chicken."

On New Day, CNN engages in anti-GOP fearmongering regarding the debt limit. Co-host John Berman opens the show by predicting "the potential collapse of the U.S. economy, as Republicans have voted against paying U.S. debts." CNN commentator Alexis Glick takes it a step further, warning of a "catastrophic consequences" to "the global economy."

On New Day, CNN economics pundit Catherine Rampell said "nihilistic" Republicans, by potentially refusing to join in on raising the debt limit, "could set off a worldwide financial crisis . . .  panic through every financial market in the world." Rampell added Mitch McConnell "is basically happy to let the world burn as long as Democrats take the fault."

On Wednesday's Stephanie Ruhle Reports on MSNBC, Ruhle and PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor were perplexed why Republicans are calling for Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley to be fired after it was alleged that, among other things, he promised his Chinese counterpart a heads up in the event of an attack.

On Wednesday, during his nightly diatribe against Republicans, Late Night host Seth Meyers alleged that the GOP can only win elections by utilizing "cheat codes," by which Meyers simply meant rules he doesn't like.

On Thursday, Special Counsel John Durham convinced a grand jury to indict Michael Sussmann, a lawyer with deep ties to both the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign. Sussmann was accused of providing the FBI with false information and lying to investigators about who he was working for. The most serious charge against General Milley is that, without notifying the President and Commander-in-Chief, Milley agreed to give China advance notice of an impending attack.
