Journalists simply can’t get enough of Greta Thunberg, the radical 16-year-old Swedish climate activist who wants people to stop flying in order to save the planet. MSNBC hosts on Wednesday bashed their own kids as not living up to the great climate hero.

After years of fiery preaching about a coming climate apocalypse, at least one media outlet took the religious fervor to new levels. As part of NBC News’ new “dedicated” unit on climate change — “Climate in Crisis” — which launched Sept. 15, NBC made itself the environmental priest welcoming confessions for climate sins.

One of the key reasons President Trump removed the United States from the so-called Paris climate accords was the fact that the U.S. was one of the few countries seriously trying to meet and exceed the goals that were set. On Tuesday’s NBC Today, NBC weatherman Al Roker warned viewers that climate change was “threatening some iconic American landmarks” and even touted predictions that Washington D.C. may soon be underwater as a result. The only problem with that dire forecast? NBC has been making that same wild claim for the past 30 years.  

While Americans’ observed the 18th anniversary of 9/11 last Wednesday with honor and reflection, Trevor Noah on The Daily Show thought it wise to pontificate on the issue of climate change with 16-year-old “climate activist” Greta Thunberg. On her 9:00 a.m. ET hour show on Thursday, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle welcomed the editor-in-chief of Time magazine on the program to promote the liberal publication’s latest issue devoted solely to preaching climate change activism. Amid all the fearmongering in the segment, Ruhle and her guest declared that “there is no other side” in the debate over the topic.
