Why Does the Media Hate (Poor) People Having Cheap Food?
October 28th, 2015 12:48 PM
The media are, of course, almost uniformly Leftist - which means they just about always toe the Party line. Including the belief that in order to help the poor - government must perpetually grow. Of course we conservatives also want to help the poor - we just think shrinking government is the way to actually do it.
When things get more expensive - the poor get hammered hardest.…

Washington Post Wants You to Pay More for Food -- If the Money Goes to
March 4th, 2014 9:13 AM
The Washington Post Editorial Board has long had a government agriculture policy position that is actually grounded in Reality.
Going back at least half a decade - to the passage of the last terrible Farm Bill - they have been rightly pointing out that the Crony Socialist, picking-losers-at-the-expense-of-winners matrix of taxes, subsidies and quotas is simply a disaster.
MSNBC.com Pits 'Science Guy' Nye Against Republican Congresswoman
February 17th, 2014 1:51 PM
MSNBC.com has drawn a line in the sand regarding where it stands on the “consensus” of man-made climate change. Following Bill Nye’s appearance on Sunday’s Meet the Press, MSNBC.com’s Ned Resnikoff continued to peddle the liberal line on climate change and conveniently dismissed any skepticism of human involvement on the issue.
Morano Smacks Down Sierra Club Director: ‘Sierra Club Took 26 Millio
December 11th, 2013 12:35 AM
For years, climate alarmists have dishonestly accused global warming skeptics of taking money from Big Oil to do their bidding.
On CNN’s 11th Hour Tuesday, when Sierra Club executive director Michael Brune made such a claim, Climate Depot’s Marc Morano marvelously fired back, “The Sierra Club took 26 million from natural gas and Michael has the audacity to try to imply that…

October 23rd, 2012 9:52 AM
In their third Presidential debate analysis, the Jurassic Press Media last night and thus far this morning have failed utterly in their role as fact checker and record-corrector - at least when it comes to what President Barack Obama had to say.

Networks Ignore Ethanol Mandates in Most Coverage of Historic Drought
August 27th, 2012 10:01 AM
The severe drought affecting the Midwest this year has caused the latest corn projections to be the lowest since 1995. With such a small corn crop, the government mandates that make some of that corn be used for ethanol make even less sense, and will raise prices even further.
The drought has been a big news story for the network morning and evening show in the past six months, earning 55…

June 22nd, 2011 11:13 AM
Lawrence O'Donnell on Tuesday accused Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) of being a socialist.

NPR Anchor Interviews Sen. Coburn -- From the Right, with Grover Norqu
April 3rd, 2011 4:03 PM
If you thought of a place on the radio dial on a Saturday morning where Sen. Tom Coburn would be pressed as squishy, it probably wouldn't be NPR. But on Weekend Edition Saturday, NPR anchor Scott Simon asked some basic questions about a budget deal, and then shifted to Grover Norquist's criticisms of Coburn for being a tax hiker. This could be seen as quite an anti-Grover segment, with…

Chris Matthews Calls Republican Global Warming Skeptics Luddites
December 2nd, 2010 11:29 AM
Chris Matthews on Wednesday called Republicans that are skeptical of man's role in global warming Luddites, referring to the 19th century movement in Great Britain that was opposed to changes associated with the Industrial Revolution.
Clearly missing the absurdity in his analogy, the "Hardball" host arrogantly stated (video follows with transcript and commentary):
Media Mostly Ignore Gore Admitting He Only Supported Ethanol Mandates
November 24th, 2010 1:15 PM
On Monday, NewsBusters was the first American media outlet to report Nobel laureate Al Gore's admission that he only supported ethanol mandates in the '90s because he thought it would help his presidential ambitions.
As it turns out, with very few exceptions, no major news divisions thought this was at all important:
