While liberals made many different objections to the GOP’s latest tax reform plan, one former Obama and Clinton administration economist claims the plan will literally kill. Economist Larry Summers told CNBC viewers the Republican tax bill “would result in 10,000 extra deaths per year.” He appeared on CNBC Squawk Box on Dec. 4, to discuss the Republican tax bill.

Why does the tax bill promoted by the President and Republicans have low polling support? Maybe because journalists are constantly trashing it. On CBS This Morning, Monday, analyst Jill Schlesinger declared, “I think it's becoming clear that [the tax bill is] very much tilted toward corporations and the wealthiest Americans.”

Kate Zernike and Alan Rappeport penned one of a pair of lead stories on the Republican’s passing their tax plan in the Senate, under a headline that didn't even nod toward objectivity: “Next Objective: Cutting the Safety Net.”
