NBC’s Law and Order: SVU has always been a reliable series to find liberal bias, whether it includes painting Christians as rape apologists or gender fluidity as “cool.” But I think we were overdue for an episode that gives us a real, honest glimpse of what the show thinks of the right. As President Trump stepped up to podium to deliver his State of the Union address Tuesday night, the NBC News team wanted viewers to focus on one thing as they watched the speech – that Trump was “under criminal investigation” and Special Counsel Robert Mueller “hovers over the chamber.”

What on earth is wrong with people? Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America Wednesday morning to review President Trump’s State of the Union address, Chief Political Analyst Matthew Dowd worried that he “didn’t get any sense there was any room for compromise” in the speech and even proclaimed that the nation was as divided today as it was during the Civil War.

To match their vicious pre-State of the Union address coverage, ABC lost its mind following President Trump’s first such address, slinging mud at the President for delivering a “divisive,” “gloomy,” and “sad speech” that did nothing to “unify” the country and instead “stok[ed]...racial tensions.”
