New York City's vaccine mandate has crippled the livelihood of thousands of people. Mayor Eric Adams still contends that every classification of employer (except athletes and entertainers) needs to be vaccinated to earn a living, a hypocritical reality that has rightfully irked a large number of New Yorkers. 

For three long seasons, Pennsylvania University student William Thomas toiled at the back of the pack in men’s collegiate swimming. To say he was an also-ran would be an insult to also-runs. After ranking a woeful 462nd in men’s swimming, he re-invented himself as “Lia” Thomas, a transgender “woman.” 

In his short life, the late Dwayne Haskins was regarded as an outstanding young man of faith. A devout Christian and quarterback with the Pittsburgh Steelers, his death sparked an “outpouring of grief” from many people associated with the NFL, especially his former team, the Washington Commanders, and his current club, the Pittsburgh Steelers. 

There is much more to the story of “Lia” Thomas and women’s swimming at the University of Pennsylvania than the unfairness of his physical superiority. The Washington Examiner reported that the university failed to follow through on its promise to make Thomas, the male claiming to be a female, dress in separate quarters.
