ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Covers New Hillary E-Mail Scandal News as World News Tonight Remains Silent

In the latest sign that the liberal media has next to no interest in covering the new Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal news that broke on Tuesday, ABC’s World News Tonight has remained silent on the story (along with its fellow newscasts on CBS and NBC) concerning above top secret material being contained in her emails, but ABC’s late night comedy show Jimmy Kimmel Live covered it with a string of jokes on Wednesday night.

Host Jimmy Kimmel transitioned from a series of quips about alcoholic drinks in North Korea by remarking that “Hillary Clinton could probably use one of those drinks today” because “[t]he drama with her e-mails came to a crescendo” as news reports explained that “e-mails on the private server Hillary used when he was secretary of state did indeed have classified information on them.”

Kimmel remarked that while “[t]his was described as above top secret stuff,” he was unaware that “there was an above top secret” level and then joked that: “I guess it's like America's Top Model, they're not really top. You know? Top models.”

Following some laughter from the audience, Kimmel quipped that “the lesson here, I think, is the secretary of state needed a better secretary because you know, if you told me a Clinton was going to have a scandal involving e-mail, Hillary would not have been my first guess as to who it might have been.”

Shifting to a series of jokes about Bernie Sanders pulling ahead of Hillary Clinton in multiple polls out of Iowa and New Hampshire, Kimmel ruled that the socialist Senator “is having a very good week” and while Clinton has this massive e-mail scandal hovering over her, Sanders “doesn't know how to use e-mail so that's not a problem.”

Overall, ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News have yet to say a word about the story that was broken by FNC’s Catherine Herridge but have spent a combined 17 minutes and 49 seconds over the past two days obsessing over Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump.

Additionally, another eight minutes and 38 seconds was devoted on Tuesday and Wednesday during these same newscasts on the Democratic presidential race and Clinton’s slipping polls but nothing about this new contradiction from what she initially told reporters back in March 2015.

JIMMY KIMMEL: Hillary Clinton could probably use one of those drinks today. The drama with her e-mails came to a crescendo this morning. According to a new report, e-mails on the private server Hillary used when he was secretary of state did indeed have classified information on them. This was described as above top secret stuff which I didn't know there was an above top secret. [LAUGHTER] It’s — you think top would be top. [LAUGHTER] But I guess it's like America's Top Model, they're not really top. You know? Top models. [LAUGHTER] But the lesson here I think is the secretary of state needed a better secretary because you know, if you told me a Clinton was going to have a scandal involving e-mail, Hillary would not have been my first guest as to who it might have been. Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders is having a very good week. He doesn't know how to use e-mail so that's not a problem. [LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE] But he's now leading Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire by 27 points. Bernie is very well lined among democratic voters. Among those likely to vote in the primary, his favorability rating is 91 percent. That is incredibly high. As are many of his supporters. [LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE] That means there's a chance, a slim chance, but it could be Bernie Sanders versus Donald Trump in the general election. The old yellers, if you will. [LAUGHTER] Can you imagine that, Sanders versus trump? Look at these guys. [LAUGHTER AND APPLAUSE] You’d have to outlaw wind. Every debate would look like a commercial for the flobie.
