SHOCK: Rare, Unequivocal Pro-Life Message at...Univision?

October 3rd, 2019 4:48 PM

Univision’s coverage of an abusive Tennessee mother featured a stunning departure from the corporate line due to its powerful and unequivocal pro-life message, proof positive that miracles can come from anywhere.

Watch below as the hosts at Univision’s afternoon news program Primer Impacto are so outraged by the story that feel compelled to speak out:

BORJA VOCES: So let’s hope, as I was saying, that she can at least find a family that will give her the love and affection that every newborn human being deserves, don’t you think?

MICHELLE GALVÁN: Of course.

PAMELA SILVA CONDE: As it will be.

MICHELLE GALVÁN: Of course. And listen: here in the United States, there are places where you can drop off an unwanted baby, and they can be well-cared for, or transferred to a foster home and can have a much better future with a lot of love. It is incredible, really, how there are women that don’t value- that they can be mothers and are holding a miracle in their arms.

VOCES: That’s right, and (for there to be) women, really, and families that are looking to have children- and for there to be women that waste that great privilege that life gives you, right?

Hosts Michelle Galván and Pamela Silva Conde gasped audibly as the shocking images played during correspondent Borja Voces’ report on the disturbing allegations of child abuse, prior to the segment displayed above. It is true that the report was specific to a month-old infant, but there is no daylight between Galván and Voces’ argument, and what one might hear when talking about giving the unborn a chance to live.

The hosts’ potent defense of the inherent value and dignity of human life stands in stark contrast to Univision’s institutional biases, and their affirmation of the wondrous miracle of motherhood is a welcome departure from Univision’s favorable coverage of Planned Parenthood, as well as the network’s attempted mainstreaming of euthanasia.

This life-affirming report, for a welcome change, is well in line with the values of the community that Univision claims to represent.

Below is a full transcript of the report cited above, as aired on Univision’s Primer Impacto on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019:

BORJA VOCES: This video has also triggered outrage on social media. It was broadcast via Facebook Live by a Tennessee mother, who is now facing charges of child abuse. Several viewers notified law enforcement and the woman was arrested. Because of these images. She spins her month-old baby daughter in the air as she blows cigarette smoke into her face. Investigators state that when they arrived at her home, her breath smelled of alcohol and there were many liquor bottles in her apartment. Additionally, in a sworn statement she said something along the lines of: “It doesn’t matter because in the end I don’t care about this baby”. So let’s hope that...well, the baby was finally removed from her custody. So let’s hope, as I was saying, that she can at least find a family that will give her the love and affection that every newborn human being deserves, don’t you think?
