Chelsea Handler Dubs Trump ‘Predator-in-Chief’

Chelsea Handler wants to teach Donald Trump—America’s “Predator-in-Chief”—a lesson.

In an op-ed she wrote for The Hollywood Reporter, the progressive show host outlined her plans to fight back with all her might against a Republican president, Congress and the “radical, religious right drooling to defund Planned Parenthood.”

Scheduled to lead the Sundance Festival’s Women’s March next Saturday, Handler encouraged fellow females to join her and oppose those who “wish to turn back the clock to the Dark Ages.” Suggesting that conservatives treat women as “second-class citizens,” Handler reminded her readers: “America, this isn’t 1957; it’s 2017.”

The op-ed clarified the number one aim of the women’s marches taking place across the country this weekend: protecting the nation’s largest abortion provider.

Handler and other entertainers have been especially vocal about Planned Parenthood in the weeks leading up to the Inauguration. More than 30 celebrities are planning to attend the Women’s March on Washington, and a number have taken to social media with calls to preserve the abortion provider.

But one of the tactics of doing so includes diverting attention from abortions. In a January 5 Instagram post, Handler posted a picture of her dog and captioned it: “Chunk and I are going to get loud about planned parenthood. Planned parenthood isn't about abortions. It's about safety for a the [sic] mothers, daughters, and sisters out there. It's for your nieces. So, let's spring up and get loud.”

Under an Instagram selfie with an ocean backdrop, actress Elizabeth Banks wrote: “Save @PlannedParenthood. (I feel the need to write or say this at all times these days).

Madonna, as usual, was more visually explicit with her appeal. The pop icon posted a picture of a woman’s crotch with a Nike symbol tattoo and captioned it: “Yassssssssss! Just Do It! 1 Million Women’s March! Be There!! Washington D.C. Jan. 21.”

Ick.
