Broadway Joins Ranks of Planned Parenthood's Celebrity Boosters

Surprise! There’s yet another group of showbiz women to unfollow this year. It seems Broadway is just as reflexively liberal as Hollywood, and a bunch of stage starlets are showing their solidarity with the abortion factory-operators at Planned Parenthood.

According to BroadwayBuzz.com, actresses Jessica Rush, Cara Cooper, and Tony award-nominee Laura Worsham are organizing a production titled Broadway Baby Mamas. The show will be a cabaret performance that features a cast of famous Broadway’s moms/actors -- using motherhood to support the killing of babies.

Hosted by Tony award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger, Broadway Baby Mamas will include famous moms, such as Tony winners Annaleigh Ashford and Ruthie Ann Miles, Tony nominee Anika Larsson, and Ashley Brown, Nikki Renee Daniels, Jenn Gambatese.

All the proceeds for the two March performances will go directly to Planned Parenthood. All the progressive sanctimony will go to the performers.

Not that Planned Parenthood needs the money. The “women’s healthcare” giant has practically everybody in Hollywood showing sympathy and solidarity, and raising money, and most of the news media running interference for it. Having made itself synonymous with feminism and “reproductive rights,” Planned Parenthood has avoided the threat of government defunding, and has assembled legions of zealous supporters, especially high profile people in the entertainment industry.

There’ve been expensive dinner parties, wine tastings, and Race-for-the-Cure type fundraising events. In 2014 Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead organized a comedy tour for the the group.

It has been utterly ridiculous. Actresses sport Planned Parenthood T-shirts and hats, they have even encouraged people to send Planned Parenthood-themed Christmas cards.
