Shortly before President Trump addressed the nation on Wednesday to explain what his administration was doing to prepare for the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19), ABC’s World News Tonight and the CBS Evening News decided to give a megaphone to Democratic lawmakers so they could suggest the administration wasn’t taking the virus seriously.

CNN and PBS anchor Christiane Amanpour interviewed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Munich, which aired on PBS on Monday night. Amanpour showed a photo of Pelosi ripping up Trump's State of the Union speech on the front of The New York Times and gushed "This really was one for the ages!" 

For the few folks still wondering why the Democrats are not doing so hot this election cycle, could it have anything to do with the fact that sham impeachments and drag queens are their priorities these days?

On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe provided a knee-jerk defense of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping up a copy of President Trump’s State of the Union address as the speech concluded Tuesday night. They claimed the nasty move was justified because of Trump’s “lies” and applauded it as “the most effective” Democratic response.

Joe Scarborough accuses the press of "feeding into [President Trump's] hype that somehow, his economy is so much better than former economies. It's a lie."

Just like their cable news peers, ABC chose to complain about President Trump’s State of the Union address last night, instead of celebrate it. On Good Morning America Wednesday, anchor George Stephanopoulos and chief White House correspondent Jonathan Karl recounted the national address entirely from the perspective of the Democrats, serving up judgement only for President Trump and Republicans…

What was going on CBS Tuesday night during the State of the Union? In their post-speech reactions, CBS journalists praised the “master showman” President’s “incredible remarks” that, while “restrained,” showcased “a strong record on the economy” and “emotionally compelling stories” about “great Americans.” Even more surprisingly, the praise was juxtaposed with condemnation for Democrats.

Tuesday, Joy Behar shared her selfish wish that tonight’s State of the Union address would turn chaotic with President Trump going “completely nuts” over impeachment. The co-host of The View also hoped Democrat House Managers would openly mock the President during his speech.

The impeachment trial in the Senate is finally underway, but this has been a long time coming for Hollywood. Ever since election night 2016 they have been desperate for ways to overturn the results. The New York Times’ double standard on ideas it considers “conspiracy theories” was ably demonstrated in Sunday’s New York Times by reporters Annie Karni and Jeremy Peters: “How a Pelosi Conspiracy Theory Spread, From Twitter to Fox to Trump.” That headline hit the paper’s two main enemies: Fox News and President Trump.
