Appearing on MSNBC late Monday morning, historian and professional liberal pundit Jon Meacham urged voters to support Joe Biden in November in order to “put the country in an oxygen tent for a couple of years and see if we can stabilize things again” in the wake of President Trump. He went on to define the election as “enlightenment” versus “superstition.”

After hyping John Bolton’s anti-Trump book endlessly on ABC, the news network brought Bolton on Monday’s Good Morning America to grill him...from the left. Anchor George Stephanopoulos spent a good deal of the interview badgering the former National Security Advisor to switch parties and support Democrats’ never-ending impeachment efforts.

During live CNN coverage before Trump's Saturday night rally, CNN's Brian Stelter oddly said the president "lied" on Twitter about the "small crowd" at a Biden event...because almost no one was there. The New York Times had a whole story on how small and silent it was. But CNN was all about taunting the president over the disappointing attendance.

On Tuesday, PolitiFact demonstrated that Joe Biden now has his own "very fine people" misquotation. He never said "Antifa are courageous Americans." But he did misquote Trump on "very fine people" in the same video! And PolitiFact carefully avoided it....then and now. 

On Monday night’s Late Show, host Stephen Colbert and 60 Minutes correspondent John Dickerson hoped that Joe Biden’s “honesty” would turn America away from the “demagoguery” and “barbarism” of President Trump. They both seemed to forget how Biden’s first presidential campaign self-destructed in the midst of a plagiarism scandal.

Is NPR hopelessly liberal, living inside a bubble? Yes. They posted this online headline without any noticeable fraction of smirking irony:

When guest hosting The Last Word on Friday, MSNBC's Ali Velshi declared that given the protests and reaction to the death of George Floyd, Joe Biden has been prophetic in his calls for the country to move past President Trump's racial divisiveness. Similarly, Jonathan Alter was amazed at Biden's "perfect message for 2020."

The New York Times somehow thinks it's front-page investigative reporting to do a deep dive....into Biden's self-selected pile of eulogies so they can tout him as the anti-Trump, an "Emissary of Grief" who demonstrates the "capacity to heal." 

The coronavirus pandemic did what some might think was impossible -- make Trump coverage even more negative. Rich Noyes of the Media Research Center found that from March to May, Trump's coverage on the evening newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC was 94 percent negative. In May, it was 99.5 percent negative, an all-time low. This is not journalism. It's badly disguised campaign advertising.

During a lengthy softball interview with Joe Biden Wednesday night, Daily Show host Trevor Noah teed up the presumptive Democratic nominee to accuse Trump of trying to “steal this election” and even prompted him to suggest that the military may have to “escort” the President from the White House if he “refused to leave.”
