NYT’s Stolberg Hails McCain Whacking Trump, 'Cantankerous' Vs. Obama

October 22nd, 2017 3:51 PM
New York Times reporter Sheryl Gay Stolberg filed a flattering story on Sen. John McCain, “In Twilight of Career, McCain Becomes an Unfettered Voice Against Trumpism.” The text box of Saturday’s story was even more syrupy: “After a cancer diagnosis, an even more vocal defender of national ideals.” So where was this praise from Stolberg when Sen. McCain dared stand in the way of President Obama?

October 22nd, 2017 1:12 PM
ABC's make-believe Republican Matthew Dowd was on a tear Sunday morning during his appearance on This Week’s “Powerhouse Roundtable.” While there, he continued his exhausted criticism of President Trump but he set his eyes on a new target: White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly. And according to Dowd, Kelly’s defense of President Trump’s call to a gold star widow meant people should start…

NBC Omits Its Role in Creating ‘Shameful Week in American Politics’

October 22nd, 2017 10:40 AM
During the political coverage on NBC’s Sunday Today, host Willie Geist and Political Director Chuck Todd lamented about how far America’s political discourse sunk in the wake of the week’s condolence controversy. According to their telling, all of the blame rested on President Trump and his White House. But in reality, their network’s sprint to label General John Kelly, a gold star father, a…

Networks Keep Skipping Over Bill Clinton, Going from Thomas to Trump

October 21st, 2017 10:23 PM
It seems like wherever Anita Hill came up in this week’s conversations about Harvey Weinstein, the liberal media kept up that annoying tactic of skipping from Hill’s 1991 allegations directly to Donald Trump’s Access Hollywood remarks, dug up weeks before the 2016 election. Allegations against Bill Clinton don’t come up. Only allegations against Republicans are admitted in their fake-news history…

October 21st, 2017 4:51 PM

On Saturday's AM Joy, frequent MSNBC guest Karine Jean-Pierre of MoveOn.org hyperbolically claimed that President Donald Trump is "defecating on women" with executive orders that are "taking away rights from women." She also made her latest contribution to imagining nonexistent racial double standards when she claimed that black women are more likely to be targeted by President Trump in spite…

WashPost Columnist: Trump Has Beaten the Liberal Media

October 21st, 2017 4:00 PM
The Washington Post’s Philip Bump (full disclosure my former CNN colleague) is one of the first - or maybe so far the only - journalist at a mainstream media outlet to get what is seriously disquieting news for the mainstreamers.

NYT Reporter: Thumbs Up for 'Trenchant Satire' 'To Kill the President'

October 21st, 2017 3:47 PM
New York Times reporter Dan Bilefsky devoted a long review-interview in Saturday Arts to left-wing British journalist Jonathan Freedland’s novel about the assassinating of a president, “Trump Is Stranger Than Fiction.” He dutifully passed along the suggestion that such assassination porn was inevitable “when the top guy in the White House appears to be recklessly lurching toward global…

October 20th, 2017 8:51 PM
Three NewsBusters posts on Thursday documented attacks by far-leftists and members of the media on Trump administration Chief of Staff and retired General John Kelly's reaction that afternoon to Florida Democratic Congresswoman Frederica Wilson's accusation that President Donald Trump, during a private phone call to the widow of fallen soldier La David Johnson, "disrespected" him.

MSNBC Conspiracy Theory: Travel Ban Caused Deaths of U.S. Troops

October 20th, 2017 5:00 PM
On her primetime show Thursday night, MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow peddled an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that somehow the Trump administration’s travel ban led to the deaths of four U.S. special forces soldiers in Niger. The accusation was then repeated on Friday by fellow MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell despite a complete lack of evidence.

Huh? CNN’s Sally Kohn: Blame Trump for Rage at Harvey Weinstein

October 20th, 2017 4:31 PM
You knew liberals in the media would get there eventually. As the sex abuse scandal enveloping lefty Hollywood titan Harvey Weinstein continues to grow, CNN’s Sally Kohn on Thursday sought to shift the blame away from Weinstein and his funding of fellow Democrats Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. In a piece for CNN.com, she wondered, “But should Weinstein in part blame Donald Trump -- for…

Friday’s White House press briefing devolved into a tense sparring session as liberal journalists circled the wagons around Democratic Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (Fla.) against criticism from Chief of Staff John Kelly while Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed the media’s obsessive coverage of the Gold Star family story. The question from AP correspondent Ken Thomas first raised the…

CNN Panel Doubles Down, Blasts Kelly ‘Discrediting’ Wilson

October 20th, 2017 2:28 PM
Instead of being responsible in this sad dispute concerning the death of Sgt. La David Johnson, CNN has shown repeatedly (here, here, and here) that it wants to have it both ways in attacking John Kelly for his Thursday remarks but bemoaning criticism of Democratic Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (Fla.). Thursday’s CNN Tonight served as one such example, whether it was host Don Lemon knocking…

Brian Williams Mentions Clinton/Russia Scandal, Only To Dismiss It

October 20th, 2017 1:40 PM
On Thursday, MSNBC’s Brian Williams finally mentioned the words “Russia,” “uranium” and “Clinton” in the same segment BUT it was only to dismiss President Donald Trump’s criticism of the media’s failure to cover this week’s new revelations in the growing scandal.

Reporting from inside North Korea for Friday’s NBC Today, correspondent Keir Simmons parroted the authoritarian regime’s propaganda as he quoted government officials personally insulting President Trump and portraying the United States as the aggressor responsible for rising tensions in the region.
