Here is a short list of prominent conservatives and independent thinkers who've been accused by their critics of being an "Uncle Tom" or some other vitriolic variation on the overplayed left-wing theme of being a traitor to their race or gender ("Aunt Tomasina," "Uncle Juan," "Aunt Jemima," "Uncle Wong," etc.)[.]
When British hospital officials tried to pull the plug on 23-month-old toddler Alfie Evans on Monday night in arrogant defiance of his parents' wishes, many Americans took to Twitter to count their blessings that they live in a country that would not allow such tyranny. "Stories like Alfie Evans make me realize how grateful I am to live in America where freedom still exists," one young social media user wrote.
RESTON, VA – Media Research Center (MRC) Senior Fellow LTC Allen B. West (USA, Ret) issued the following statement Tuesday concerning Facebook’s community guidelines publicly released earlier today. LTC West serves as MRC’s primary spokesperson for its Censorship Project.
Editor’s Note: This piece has been cross-posted from AllenBWest.com and was originally published on February 24. I am the NRA, and I am freedom’s safest place. That isn’t just a cute commercial slogan, it’s how I feel as a Patriot Life Benefactor Member and Board Member of the National Rifle Association. Right now, I’m fuming with this insidious assault by the left and the pressure being levied by these so-called companies who want to break ties with the nation’s oldest civil rights organization.
This past week, CNN and MSNBC were caught in a rather embarrassing folly exposing them for the dolts they are. As a result of information contained within the Robert Mueller Indictment, the public learned that Russian actors organized protests in both New York City and Charlotte, NC. As Rich Noyes of Newsbusters points out both CNN and MSNBC slavishly and unwittingly covered the Russian Orchestrated March in New York November 2016 with zeal.
Reston, VA – The Media Research Center (MRC) announced on Thursday that prominent conservative Lieutenant Colonel Allen B. West, USA, Ret. has been named a Senior Fellow at the MRC to support its mission to expose and neutralize liberal media bias.
Following the second 2016 presidential debate on Sunday night between Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican candidate Donald, a diverse array of conservative leaders (including Media Research Center President and Founder Brent Bozell) offered their reactions to the proceedings and the biased performances of debate co-moderators Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz.
On Monday night's episode of NBC's The Blacklist, the FBI is shown going after a fictional international thief named "Madeline Pratt," who actor James Spader's character Raymond Reddington explains "fosters relationships with incredibly powerful people" and then "exploits those relationships in ways that impact national security." [Listen to the audio or watch the video after the jump]
Photoshopped images appear on screen showing viewers the "powerful people" that Pratt is supposed to have connections with. The fake photos show her socializing with former Florida Republican Congressman Allen West and current Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz. No pictures are shown of the made-up criminal mastermind rubbing elbows with any real-life Democratic politicians.
[UPDATED BELOW] CNN showed a complete double standard by smacking Republican Allen West for his "plantation" remarks while giving liberal Cornel West a pass for the same offense.
On Tuesday morning, anchor Carol Costello played a clip of West decrying the "21st century plantation" for blacks and suggested that such a statement hurt the GOP's minority outreach. However, when liberal Cornel West ripped the "Obama plantation" and said Al Sharpton was its "head house Negro" on Sunday's New Day, neither CNN co-host called him on it.
Former Congressman Allen West (R-Fl.) had some harsh words for America's media Monday.
Appearing on Fox News's On the Record, West said, "I think that we cannot continue to go on believing that all we can do is ask the President what his favorite color is and continue to have these softball interviews" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
CNN's Soledad O'Brien got a much-needed education about political ideologies from Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) Thursday.
When she brought up a quote from the Vice Chairman of the National Communist Party refuting the Congressman's claim there are 78 to 81 Communists in Congress, West simply replied, "I don't care what he says" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on Friday gave a tongue-in-cheek introduction to NBC's David Gregory that took an obvious swipe at Republican Florida Congressman Allen West.
"I am holding in my hands a list, a list of fourteen members of the Communist Party that work for Meet the Press. Now we bring in one them" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
