In the midst of covering Tuesday night’s Democratic debate, on Wednesday, all three network morning shows excitedly shared the news that far-left New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and radical Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar would be endorsing socialist Senator Bernie Sanders for President. None of the extreme views or scandals of either left-wing lawmaker were mentioned.
Last Thursday, the press in Ilhan Omar's home base of Minneapolis reported the congresswoman filed for divorce after a previous round of stories noted a wife of one of her political strategists, Tim Mynette, accused Omar of adultery with her husband in their divorce papers. None of these new developments can be found anywhere in the news transcripts on the Nexis database, including Fox News Channel.
Comedian Terrence K. Williams of “The Deplorables” comedy troupe, pleaded for help Friday amidst fears Twitter was targeting his account for his support of President Trump. A popular blue check conservative with over 600,000 followers, Williams received a legal warning from Twitter right before he was to go to the White House’s “Young Black Leadership Summit.”
During Wednesday’s Full Frontal, TBS host Samantha Bee conducted what was not surprisingly softball interview with Congresswoman and so-called “Squad” member Ilhan Omar (D-MN), which included Bee fantasizing about joining “the Squad.”
Univision anchor Jorge Ramos’ obsessive moral lecturing always comes in pairs. It is no different, this time, with his insistence on making the non-binary non-word ‘Latinx’ into a thing. There is, usually and in no particular order, a video segment (whether on Univision’s Sunday political affairs show Al Punto or on his Facebook Watch platform) and an opinion column- which continues to be a rarity in that no other national news anchor, to our knowledge, has an opinion column.
Liberals should not have been so quick to change the rules for politicians online. When a federal judge declared that President Trump, as a politician, couldn’t block his Twitter followers, the ruling applied to other politicians as well. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is being sued by former Brooklyn Assemblyman Dov Hikind for blocking him on Twitter.
Camille Paglia is a professor of humanities and media studies at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where she has been a faculty member since 1984. Paglia describes herself as transgender, but unlike so many other transgender people, she is pro-capitalism and hostile to those who'd restrict free speech. She's a libertarian. As to modern ideas that include “gender-inclusive pronouns” such as zie, sie and zim, Paglia says it is lunacy.
Univision anchor Jorge Ramos’ recent opinion column, titled “Why I’m Not Quitting Twitter” was written, in part, as an explainer into his continued presence on social media. However, it also provides a fascinating insight as to how he views debate, and gives us a window into his biases.
The "fact checkers" at Snopes.com are fervent and incessant defenders of "The Squad," especially Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. On September 13, Bethania Palma tagged several pro-Trump tweets as "FALSE" based on something AOC said on tape....five months ago
CNN host Chris Cuomo interviewed former congressional candidate Elizabeth Heng, who narrated a controversial ad targeting socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and highlighting the dangers of socialism that aired during Thursday night’s Democratic debate. Throughout the interview, Cuomo tried to convince Heng, that socialism had nothing to do with the Cambodian genocide and argued that her real beef should be with President Trump, not socialists like AOC.
WASHINGTON — Climate change is one of those issues that the bien-pensants around the world all agree upon. We must act! If we do not act, people will lose their beach houses. Plants will wither and die. Birds will fall from the sky. Just last week, whole communities in the Caribbean were swept away. There are, however, problems with eliminating or ameliorating climate change. For one thing, modern technology cannot seem to keep up with people's ability to dream.
ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan couldn’t stop fawning over Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hobnobbing with her celebrity friends, on Good Morning America Wednesday. Actress Tracee Ellis Ross was on the show and gushed about how Ocasio-Cortez eases her “deep anxiety and concern” for the country under the current administration.
