During a fawning report on Thursday’s Today show about former Vice President Joe Biden officially entering the 2020 presidential race, NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell briefly noted that the Democratic frontrunner’s first campaign fundraiser will be hosted “At the home of David Cohen, Senior Vice President of Comcast, parent company of NBCUniversal.”

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows were united in promoting NBC News reporter Kristen Welker shouting an impeachment question at President Trump during the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. A soundbite of the brief exchange was featured on each broadcast, amid coverage worrying about Democrats being divided over the issue.

Joe Biden is expected to jump into the presidential race on Wednesday, but he enters a Democratic nomination fight with a lot of baggage. Most recently the former Vice President has had to deal with complaints about his history of overly-grabby behavior with women, but those stories have overshadowed another famous flaw – his propensity for embarrassing gaffes. 

Last Tuesday, April 16, the mayor of Yuma, Arizona declared a state of emergency as a result of the massive increase in illegal immigrants straining their resources. In the week since the declaration, Monday’s (April, 22) CBS Evening News was the only morning or evening broadcast network news program to mention it at all.

NBC political director Chuck Todd lamented the “real dilemma” Congressional Democrats had on their hands following the Special Counsel finding no collusion by the Trump campaign with Russia. Just as they did during their Special Reports on Thursday after the Mueller report’s release, NBC’s Today turned Friday morning to former Obama official Neal Katyal for legal analysis and touting the possibility President Trump could be criminally charged once he leaves office and that current Attorney General Bill Barr wasn’t acting like the AG for the country but instead just for Trump.

Hours before Attorney General William Barr was set hold a press conference at the Justice Department ahead of the public release of the Mueller report, all three network morning shows hyped Democratic talking points preemptively trashing the presser and accusing Barr of just doing President Trump’s “partisan bidding.”

On Monday, all three network morning shows recited the same nasty accusations from Democrats that President Trump was “inciting violence” against left-wing Congresswoman Ilhan Omar simply by criticizing her offensive comments downplaying the September 11th attacks. Glossing over Omar’s incendiary rhetoric, hosts and correspondents feared for the liberal lawmaker’s safety.

On Friday, NBC’s Today show eagerly welcomed South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg to the 2020 presidential race, cheering the Democrat’s “surging moment” ahead of officially announcing his candidacy on Sunday. In addition to boosting Buttigieg’s campaign, the morning show also touted the openly gay politician’s recent personal attacks on Vice President Mike Pence over the issue of gay…

While touting a new People magazine story about his recent trip to Alaska to warn of the dangers of climate change, during the Third Hour Today show on Thursday, NBC weatherman Al Roker lectured “climate deniers” to abandon their skepticism and think “about your grandchildren and your children.”

After the media failed to notice controversial Democratic Congresswoman Ihan Omar making offensive public comments two weeks ago in which she downplayed the September 11th terrorist attacks as “some people did something,” NBC’s Today show finally discovered the story on Thursday. The ABC and CBS morning shows continued to ignore Omar’s latest scandal, while NBC tried to paint her as a victim.  

On Wednesday, both NBC’s Today show and ABC’s Good Morning America promoted congressional Democrats complaining about Attorney General William Barr’s testimony on Capitol Hill regarding the upcoming release of the Mueller report. Little or no attention was given to Republicans as anchors and reporters warned of “Democrats still not happy.”

During an interview with NBC’s Maria Shriver aired on Tuesday’s Today show, left-wing comedian Chelsea Handler promoted her new book about undergoing a year of therapy following the election of Donald Trump in 2016. Doubling down on her remarks to HBO’s Bill Maher over the weekend, Handler described the “mid-life crisis” she suffered after the President defeated Hillary Clinton.
