On the heels of network coverage hyping liberal fears that fake news stories shared on Facebook and across social media fueled Donald Trump’s election victory, on Friday, NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning touted President Obama pushing the issue during a Thursday press conference overseas.

Thursday’s network morning shows applauded a “downhearted but unbroken” Hillary Clinton addressing supporters at a Washington gala Wednesday night with her first “emotional speech” since losing to Donald Trump in the presidential race. Appearing on Thursday’s NBC Today, nationally syndicated radio host and potential new White House press secretary Laura Ingraham hit back at co-host Matt Lauer for suggesting that the Trump administration would have “fence-mending” to do with the media after the President-Elect “spent the last year and a half basically calling members of the press and the media crooked, corrupt, dishonest.”

Peaceful protest is a protected right in America. Trespassing on private property, tire slashing, damaging equipment, arson, Molotov cocktail-throwing and shooting at police are not acts of protest. After all three broadcast networks on Monday promoted the liberal excuse that Hillary Clinton lost the presidential race because of “fake news” shared on Facebook, on Wednesday, NBC’s Today continued to push the narrative by highlighting a “feud” within the social media company and parroting Clinton Campaign talking points blaming the social network for Donald Trump’s victory.

On Wednesday, the network morning shows were in full panic mode as anchors and correspondents breathlessly reported that Donald Trump went to dinner with his family Tuesday night without alerting the traveling press pool. The President-Elect’s excursion to a Manhattan steakhouse was labeled “chaos” and an affront to the principle of “transparency.”

On Monday, ABC's GMA and NBC's Today pressed Reince Priebus over his future role as chief of staff to Donald Trump. NBC's Matt Lauer hyped that "to some, you're an odd choice for chief of staff, because they've...heard Donald Trump say....we're going counter to the establishment. You are the establishment. You're the ultimate insider."

Eager to seize on anything that could explain away Donald Trump’s victory, on Monday, all three network morning shows promoted the left’s latest excuse that false stories being shared on Facebook tilted the election in the President-Elect’s favor.

Appearing on the 9 a.m. ET hour of NBC’s Today on Monday, left-wing actor Donald Sutherland recalled being scolded by actress Helen Mirren on the set of one of his films: “Helen Mirren came up to me on the set and....she said, ‘You are the most privileged person on Earth’....I said, ‘How can you say that?’ And she said, ‘You are a white male.’”

All three networks on Thursday spotlighted violent, anti-Donald Trump protests across the country. On ABC’s Good Morning America, Gio Benitez noted the tear gas, the fires and chaos, but insisted, “From the ballot box to the streets of New York, these people are letting their voices be heard.” 

On Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer grilled New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the upcoming meeting between President Obama and President-Elect Donald Trump, fretting over the “long and bitter history” between the two men.
