The past few weeks have seen journalists express hatred for a Gold Star father, Donald Trump and the National Anthem itself, but at the same time show love for an anti-Trump Republican and sympathy for failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Since Friday, when CNN first reported that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team had secured an indictment, the liberal media had been running rampant with speculation about who it was for and how it would topple President Trump. In a report for Friday’s NBC Today, special correspondent Tom Brokaw bemoaned the “turmoil” and “chaos” in Washington following Republican Senators Jeff Flake and Bob Corker blasting President Trump. The former Nightly News anchor seized the chance to compare the current contentiousness to the Monica Lewinsky, Iran-Contra, and Watergate scandals that threatened past presidencies.

Late Wednesday, when the Big Three Networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) weren’t able to get a report on the air, the FBI lifted a gag order on an informant and allowed them to share information on the Clinton-Uranium scandal with Congress without the need for a subpoena. But come Thursday, none of them mentioned the development on either their morning shows or their evening shows.

On Thursday afternoon, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell led a team of a dozen conservative leaders in demanding the major broadcast networks fulfill their “duty to the American public” and end the censorship of the Clinton/Russian uranium deal.

In a softball interview with comedian turned liberal activist Jimmy Kimmel for Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer touted how the ABC late-night host “has found himself in the headlines for his unexpected role in the health care debate.”  

Interviewing former CIA Director John Brennan on Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer seemed to suggest that military leaders would launch a coup d’etat against President Trump in order to prevent nuclear war with North Korea. In response, the Obama administration official didn’t discount the notion.

While covering the stock market milestone of the Dow surging past 23,000 on Tuesday, the cast of Wednesday’s NBC Today seemed surprised that the economy could be doing so well despite all the “chaos in Washington” being created by President Trump.
