Americans woke up Thursday morning to an economy that contracted in the first quarter. The ABC, CBS and NBC morning news shows ignored the story.

The network newscasts are still burying the heroic, tragic story of Bishop E. Evans of Arlington Texas. He jumped in the Rio Grande River on Friday to save two migrants who were drowning, losing his life in the process. NBC finally covered the story on Tuesday night, but just for a scant 12 seconds. CBS STILL hasn’t discussed his sacrifice. 

All three broadcast networks in the fall of 2021 smeared border patrol agents as monsters who “whipped” illegal immigrants in “horrific,” “alarming” video. The footage showed a small number of agents on horseback trying to stop migrants from crossing the Rio Grande. 

Last fall, the networks hyped the now-false claim that Border Agents attacked and “whipped” migrants at the border. But when a heroic National Guardsman drowned while attempting to rescue illegals in the Rio Grande river, CBS and NBC buried the story, allowing no coverage. ABC allowed a scant 20 seconds. 

According to the New York Post, Hunter Biden’s business partner Eric Schwerin visited the White House a whopping 19 times when Joe Biden was serving as President Barack Obama’s Vice President. As of Monday morning (April 25) none of the Big Three evening, morning or Sunday roundtable shows have mentioned this latest development. 

Apolitical comic shreds crime-ridden Big Apple, home of NBC franchise. Comedians can’t be everywhere at once. If something happens in their own backyard, though, those excuses fade away. Ryan Long may be Canadian by birth, but the comedian has lived in New York long enough to state the obvious. It’s more like Escape from New York these days.

The media on Friday celebrated Earth Day with more lecturing about the need for expensive, left-wing solutions to climate change.  Indeed, NBC pushed it all week. But nothing compares to the callous, horrific way the networks used the pandemic --- the death of millions --- to cheer the “environmental upside” of COVID.
