As our friend Emily Jashinsky with The Federalist and others have chronicled and tweeted, MSNBC Live with Katy Tur briefly flew off the rails Thursday when former Obama officials Craig Fugate and Andy Slavitt found themselves at odds over how local, state, and federal governments should respond to the coronavirus when Fugate stormed off because he didn’t “have time to listen to bullshit people.”

MSNBC Live viewers got an unfortunate display of civic illiteracy on Tuesday as host Katy Tur invited former Obama Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on to take a gratuitous shot at current Secretary Betsy DeVos and the federal government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Wanting a historical analogy for the response to COVID-19, the Thursday cast of MSNBC Live settled on the 1986 nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl, but instead of comparing the Soviet government's coverup to the Chinese government's coverup, the panel decided that it was President Trump that was analogous to the Soviet apparatchiks.  

The media coverage of COVID-19 has now entered the "that's racist" phase as media personalities condemn Republicans for calling virus by names that refer to the fact that the virus originated in China. Ayman Mohyeldin was the latest to condemn this supposed racism as he guest hosted MSNBC Live on Tuesday during an interview with Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi.  

With hours like Wednesday night from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern, MSNBC’s Joy Reid will have the hour long held by Chris Matthews sealed up. Engaging in irresponsible behavior, lying to viewers, and a parade of guests serving as clapping seals, Reid did nothing to responsibly inform the public about the coronavirus and instead fear-monger thanks to her hatred for President Trump and Fox News.

During MSNBC’s live post-Super Tuesday II coverage early Wednesday morning, podcast host and stand up comic Pete Dominick went on a nasty rant against President Trump over the coronavirus. While many in the media have feigned outrage at the notion they are politicizing this pandemic, Dominick admitted proudly that they are, because Trump "doesn't care about us" or "science."

On MSNBC Live on Friday morning, anchor Hallie Jackson teed up a harsh and hyperbolic quote from Donald Trump Jr. to Rep. John Garamendi (D-Calif.), who suggested he would have a "serious altercation" with the president's son if he said that in his presence. 

On her Friday afternoon show, MSNBC host Katy Tur was again beating the climate alarmism drum as she devoted a segment to fretting over the fact that Bernie Sanders is the only presidential candidate advocating all 10 action items called for by the left-wing environmental group, Center for Biological Diversity Action Fund.
