Following a day off due to President Biden’s CNN town hall in Ohio, Thursday’s White House press briefing gave us another welcome surprise as Press Secretary Jen Psaki found herself under the gun from not just Fox’s Peter Doocy, but a variety of reporters on issues such as Covid cases inside the administration, Critical Race Theory, Hunter Biden’s artwork, and masking.

Viewers watching the ABC, CBS or NBC networks since Feb. 1 likely didn’t hear anything about a rising index indicating that Americans are worse off under President Joe Biden.

Tuesday’s White House Press Briefing was a welcome reprieve as Fox News’s Peter Doocy found himself with more than a few colleagues willing to join him in grilling Press Secretary Jen Psaki as ten reporters (including Doocy) lobbed one question after another about Texas Democrats fleeing Austin for Washington D.C. and triggering a superspreader of coronavirus cases.

On Sunday, CBS’s Face the Nation featured a wildly partisan so-called election “expert” to declare Republican-backed voting reform legislation in states across the country to be a “national security issue” that must be stopped. The leftist pundit fearmongered and repeatedly warned of utter “chaos” if the GOP laws were enacted.

On Monday night, the “big three” networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC played the role of PR professionals for the White House as they assisted them in minimizing President Biden’s about-face that Facebook “is killing people” with misinformation and the pitiful day on Wall Street amid new liberal fear-mongering about the need to bring back Covid restrictions.

Conservatives and Republicans say this a lot, but can you imagine if the situation was reversed? Five Democrats who abandoned their state to try and stop Texas from passing a voting rights bill have now tested positive for Covid. The story, from Saturday to Monday, has amounted to a scant 35 seconds on the ABC morning and evening newscasts, 20 seconds for NBC and a meager12 seconds on CBS.

CBS This Morning Saturday embraced the idea that, of course, journalism is activism and we should all just get used to it. Co-host Michelle Miller on July 17 cheered Nikole Hannah Jones, the author of the historically corrupt 1619 Project as the modern day Ida B. Wells, a woman who heroically battled the KKK as she exposed the horrors of lynching. 

On Friday, NBC White House reporter Peter Alexander asked President Biden a softball question. “On COVID misinformation, what’s your message to platforms like Facebook?” Biden gave a wild-eyed answer:  “They’re killing people.” The president suggested Facebook’s a pile of killers, and on Friday night, the pro-Biden networks blandly passed it along.
