While the sun still had to fully set, CNN wasn’t shy in being completely over the moon for Hillary Clinton as they dubbed her the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and first woman to hold the title as “a watershed moment of the 2016 presidential race and in the history of American politics.”

Tuesday on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, the eponymous host and Washington Post reporter Karen Tumulty painted Hillary Clinton’s career as one of tragedy and triumph, that included a rocky road of firsts that have always been achieved the “hard way,” and scorn overcome by “setting out, stumbling, picking herself back up, and grinding on.” Are you kidding me?

With MSNBC Live host Thomas Roberts holding serve from Santa Monica, California on Tuesday afternoon, he brought on none other than NBC News special correspondent and former California First Lady Maria Shriver to demand the American people “pause...to think about how this is historic and unprecedented” for Hillary Clinton to become the first female presumptive presidential nominee.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows celebrated the news that Hillary Clinton had won enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee. At the top of NBC’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie heralded: “Making history. NBC News declares Hillary Clinton the presumptive nominee. The first woman in history to be nominated on a major party ticket.”

In what could be a preview of things to come, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee failed to have any voices in his corner on the latest round of Sunday talk shows broadcast by leading U.S. Spanish-language television networks Univision and Telemundo.

With Hillary Clinton on the verge of officially becoming the Democratic nominee for president, outlets such as the Washington Post and U.S. News are not holding back. “It’s Hillary; it’s History” and “For a generation of women pushing against the limits, a singular triumph” are two examples. 

Hillary Clinton made herself look like the out-of-touch elitist she is often criticized for being, but rather than reporting that, broadcast networks hyped her “historic” nomination. However, amidst such celebrations, a sour note from the left has sounded. It comes from spoilsport Glenn Greenwald who poured some cold water upon the party with some very apt observations via The Intercept where he is one of the co-founding editors.

Time.com posted a eulogy to Muhammad Ali from Comedy Central Nightly Show host Larry Wilmore. It’s titled “Muhammad Ali Embodied Unapologetic Blackness.” Somehow, Wilmore repeatedly implied converting to Islam equals blackness. So then, Christianity is...the white man’s religion? Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday could barely contain himself as he gushed to Nancy Pelosi about the historic nature of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy. Stephanopoulos, who previously worked for Bill Clinton, wondered about Hillary: “You were the first female Speaker of the House.... What does it mean to have the first female nominee for a major party?” 

The Washington Post’s Anthony Faiola is worried about Germany. Actually, he’s worried about the thousands of Muslim refugees inundating the country and “testing the national will to protect minority rights adopted after World War II.”

Seth Lipsky of the New York Post found a dramatic contrast on swimming pools and religious orthodoxy on June 2 (and additionally mocked Monday by James Taranto of The Wall Street Journal). Call it Islamic privilege. The Times can't stand Orthodox Jewish women having sex-segregated swimming hours in a public space....but lauded it for Muslim women in February.
