From MSNBC host Joe Scarborough questioning the President’s fitness to lead to New York magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi’s troll bait of a question at a White House briefing the following are the Top 10 most outrageous takes from liberal journalists during the last two weeks of the coronavirus crisis:
On Sunday's Reliable Sources, CNN host Brian Stelter cued up New York magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi to defend herself for asking Trump if he deserves re-election after he "lost" more Americans than died in the Vietnam War. Nuzzi's boyfriend Ryan Lizza of Politico claimed it's "never been the case" that reporters showboated in the briefing room. Has he never watched Jim Acosta?
After some uncertainty about the future of White House Coronavirus Task Force briefings, Monday’s episode went off without a hitch in the Rose Garden and the questions were relatively fair and uncontroversial. That was until New York magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi was granted the final question and, despite the adorations from fellow liberal journalists afterward, she stood on the graves of Americans lost in the Vietnam War when she asked President Trump whether he “deserve[s]” a second term since more Americans have died from coronavirus than the war.
On CNN's Reliable (Liberal) Sources on Sunday, host Brian Stelter discussed the "impeachment messaging wars." In one corner, he put Rudy Giuliani and the "ultraconservative" OANN network making a "glorified anti-Biden attack ad." Meanwhile, "Democrats continue to take over daytime TV, for televised testimony from witnesses, and Republicans continue to claim the hearings are boring. The messaging war is vital, so which side is winning?" Olivia Nuzzi said Democrats were like a Ken Burns PBS documentary, while the Republicans were....The Wizard of Oz???
Let the clown games recommence! Tuesday marked night one of the second round of Democratic presidential primary debates and late-night leftist zealot Trevor Noah did not waste any time on The Daily Show following the debates to crown two candidates victorious for their performances.
Note well these three items from the week’s news. 1. The Guardian and the Los Angeles Times investigate the private real estate holdings of Fox and talk radio host Sean Hannity. 2. New York magazine reporter Olivia Nuzzi was writing a piece on ex-Trump White House aide Hope Hicks
One of the major joys for a liberal journalist covering the Trump White House is arguably when they get a leak that can embarrass the administration. They’re such an integral part of their strategy against Trump that “anonymous sources” are key to many of their major stores. And despite some of their faulty information, they are praised and defended. That was true during Sunday’s Reliable Sources on CNN when Baltimore-Sun media critic David Zurawik called them “true patriots.”
While the rest of the media were swooning over recent Saturday Night Live episodes almost exclusively devoted to anti-Trump sketches, Monday’s Good Morning America hit pause on that narrative, wondering if it’s “going too far” “pushing their politics” and “sacrificing some laughs along the way.”
Streeeeetch! Yes you really have to stretch to find any hint of racism in the new Trump-Pence logo. Take a look at the logo below and see if you can find it? No? Are you scratching your heads over in bewilderment as to how anybody could detect the slightest bit of racism in the logo? Well, you're not Daily Beast writer Olivia Nuzzi who somehow saw the link between that logo and the logo of a racist organization.
Last night's GOP presidential primary debate was remarkably void of personal insults or theatrical flourishes. One Daily Beast writer also thinks it was marked by too much civility as she slammed Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz and Gov. John Kasich for failing to condemn Donald Trump for either a sucker-punch thrown at a North Carolina rally or for his campaign manager's alleged manhandling of a Breitbart reporter following a press conference earlier this week.
The string of Planned Parenthood sting videos and their shocking revelations will "silence" pro-choice Democrats who are seeking to avoid electoral defeat and/or setbacks against abortion rights, Daily Beast writers Samantha Allen and Olivia Nuzzi argued in their July 30 piece, "Why Dems Don’t Want to Talk About Planned Parenthood."
