For nearly this entire year, Sunny Hostin of The View has urged Democrats to obey their “Constitutional duty” to impeach President Trump. She was pushing this back in March, months before the Democrats’ supposed smoking gun, the Ukraine phone call, was even known.Yet the co-host and ABC legal analyst was eager to abandon the Constitution after the House voted to impeach President Trump yesterday.

Just imagine if this was said about a Democratic President, maybe Barack Obama or Bill Clinton:  Talking to Congressman James Clyburn on Thursday, New Day co-host John Berman had NO response when the Democrat said of a Senate impeachment trial for Donald Trump: “Let's give him a fair trial and hang him.” 

Appearing on MSNBC’s 9:00 a.m. ET hour on Thursday, liberal historian Jon Meacham hailed the supposed “formidable legacy” of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and proclaimed that the impeachment of President Trump was “an extraordinary political achievement” for the left-wing lawmaker.

In times of stark national polarization, one can always count on late-night host Stephen Colbert to further cement that divide, as he did on Wednesday’s Late Show in cheering for impeachment. At the very least, however, he was honest in calling out Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for her fraudulent display of somberness during the impeachment vote earlier in the day.

Appearing on NBC’s Today show on Thursday to react to Wednesday night’s impeachment vote, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd lamented “the end of a decade that has been just hyperpartisan, hypertoxic” and warned that “at times it feels as if culturally we’re in a cold civil war.”

Talk about being tone deaf and having no sense of self awareness. George Stephanopoulos, a former top aide to impeached President Bill Clinton, on Thursday demanded to know about the “indelible mark” left by the Democratic effort to impeach Donald Trump. 

MSNBC’s post-impeachment vote coverage on Wednesday was predictably littered with former Republicans to disingenuously express dismay about the state of the GOP and hail Democrats as saviors. In a late Wednesday night, post-impeachment tweet devoid of all self-awareness, Washington Post congressional reporter Rachael Bade flaunted how she and four other journalists from the paper were celebrating President Trump’s impeachment.

For 20 minutes and 25 seconds, the entirety of their Wednesday evening airtime, that’s how much time CBS Evening News dedicated to hawking impeachment to their viewers. The time was used to gush about Democratic speeches, mock White House spin, decry the President’s anger, chide Americans unwilling to go along, and boast about the lack of impartiality from Senate Democrats running for President.
