Des Bieler of The Washington Post is one of the few sports media making an issue of three NFL protesters who were nominated for the league's Walter Payton Man of the Year award. Nonetheless, he did not cite or quote anyone opposed to the protests which are seen by many Americans as disrespectful to the men and women who wore the military uniform.

In an extensive piece published by The Intercept on Saturday, co-founder of the news site Glenn Greenwald excoriated CNN (as well as a host of other news outlets) for recklessly advancing agenda driven stories involving the Russia investigation, with no transparency when the stories blow up in their face and go viral with fake news.

American skier Lindsey Vonn just made news for politicizing the upcoming Winter Olympic Games and USA Today writer Nancy Armour is doing so as well. Armour insists the Trump Administration is interfering with Olympic officials over security concerns and needs to mind its own business.

On the Wednesday edition of FBN’s Risk and Reward, the MRC’s Rich Noyes told Liz MacDonald that, concerning the firing of NBC’s Matt Lauer for sexual misconduct allegations, it’s difficult to believe NBC News president Andy Lack didn’t know of Lauer’s misdeeds “unless he's living in a cave or everybody else whose talking on the record is lying.”

On MSNBC’s 11th Hour Monday night, disgraced fake news anchor Brian Williams warned of the “danger” of President Trump calling out liberal media bias at CNN International. The left-wing channel’s favorite “Republican,” Steve Schmidt, eagerly agreed with Williams, claiming the President was endangering journalists and behaving like an “autocrat.”

As expected, CNN responded to President Trump’s weekend tweet criticizing CNN International by basking in self-righteous indignation, including a Monday afternoon response by Wolf Blitzer that featured hilarious claims such as CNNi being “free and independent” while proving Trump’s point by inviting on a former Obama official to sing their praises.
