Conservative media critics (and even some considered to be neutral) lashed out on Wednesday at BuzzFeed’s recklessly unsubstantiated report about President-elect Donald Trump as they lashed out at BuzzFeed, calling their decision a “ridiculous” one that “violated journalistic ethics.”

So who has a bigger headache today: Margaret Sullivan of the Washington Post or CNN's Jim Acosta? Last week media columnist Sullivan requested that the term "fake news" be retired and today President-elect Donald Trump threw that term against Acosta when he shut him down during his press conference.  At the press conference "fake news" was used 10 times thus dashing the hopes of the MSM folks…

If one day of stupid wasn’t enough, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews reiterated his concerns on Thursday night that President-elect Donald Trump has undermined the credibility of the news media to the point that he’s fearful people won’t believe movie times printed in newspapers.

Ever since Greta Van Susteren resigned from her weeknight On the Record program for the Fox News Channel on September 6, a great deal of speculation has centered on where the former criminal defense and civil trial lawyer would turn up next, with many pundits predicting that she would join the team on MSNBC.

Washington Post writer Callum Borchers lost it in a Thursday morning post reacting to the beating of a disabled white Chicago man by four African-Americans, lashing out at conservatives for condemning the mainstream media’s slow response and lampooning them as concerned with anti-white racism.  

You simply can’t make this up. The mood was grim on Wednesday’s Hardball as MSNBC’s Chris Matthews, Mother Jones editor David Corn, and New York Times columnist Frank Bruni wallowed in how President-elect Donald Trump created a landscape where the news media is so distrusted that people might soon not trust movie times in newspapers.
