NATIONAL HARBOR, MD — Speaking to a boisterous, full-capacity crowd at the 2017 edition of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), President Donald Trump delivered all-encompassing remarks that included blistering attacks on the “fake news media,” incorrect polling, anonymous sources, and “the Clinton News Network” of CNN.

After White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and chief of staff Reince Priebus offered strongly-worded statements on Thursday afternoon at CPAC condemning the media as “the opposition party” to the Trump team, Vice President Mike Pence offered an evening address to a boisterous audience. Of course, he lobbed some jabs at the media of his own.

Among the highlights for the first day of CPAC 2017, White House chief strategist Steve Bannon and chief of staff Reince Priebus doubled down on their attacks against the media as the former referred to them as “the opposition party” having been “dead wrong” about the election to the point that life will “get worse every day” as the administration implements their agenda.

The traditional media have decided not to take President Trump's insults lying down. After what may be the strongest -- and to his supporters -- most thrilling takedown of journalists by any president, Editor and Publisher magazine featured this headline: "Newspapers Aim to Ride 'Trump Bump' to Reach Readers, Advertisers."  

After having been teased on their Snapchat account, The Washington Post made clear its concerns on Tuesday about the future of the country under the Trump administration by adding the slogan “Democracy dies in darkness” to the top of their website below The Washington Post logo.

On CNN's New Day Tuesday co-host Chris Cuomo expressed concern in an interview with Florida Republican Representative Carlos Curbelo about President Donald Trump's immigration policies. Additionally, Cuomo not only cited inaccuracies about immigration policy presently, but also historically.

Media bias, it’s been a problem since... Fox News? That’s the claim from liberal View co-host Joy Behar on Tuesday as she bashed “pathological liar” Donald Trump. After hailing the need for the press to nail the President, whom she compared to Richard Nixon, token non-liberal Jededia Bila educated Behar: “[Some Americans] do feel betrayed by many in media. They do feel that media is biased.” 

Monday’s network morning shows were aghast at President Trump continuing to criticize the liberal media with a Friday tweet in which he labeled them “fake news” and “the enemy of the American people.” In response, the ABC, NBC, and CBS broadcasts accused him of “declaring an all-out war on journalists” and compared Trump to Richard Nixon in the midst of Watergate.

On CNN's New Day Monday, co-host Chris Cuomo warned that in the midst of President Donald Trump attacking the press as "the enemy of the American people," people, especially journalists, "will get hurt."
