Solomon appeared in Wednesday’s Business section to defend yet another government agency from conservative “conspiracy theories,” this time the intrusive Internal Revenue Service: “I.R.S. to Conduct Security Review Amid Threats Agency and Staff.”

MSNBC’s Katie Phang was one of several blue checks who fell for a hoax about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday but, instead of apologizing for that on her Saturday show, she blamed DeSantis’s “dangerous statements” for creating a dangerous environment. Logic was in limited supply on Monday’s edition of The 11th Hour on MSNBC as journalism professor Jason Johnson argued that an NBC News poll showing Republicans leading in the generic congressional ballot is proof that voters love abortion, which the “illegitimate Supreme Court” took away from them.
