Thursday night, Washington Examiner’s Rob Crilly, Steven Nelson, and David Drucker reported that alleged CIA whistleblower at the center of the congressional inquiry seeking to impeach and remove President Donald Trump “had a ‘professional’ tie” to “Joe Biden, according to intelligence officers and former White House officials.” But on the Friday morning and evening flagship broadcast network newscasts, this update was ignored.

On Wednesday night, Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson exposed media hypocrisy when it comes to whistleblowers that advance their causes while ignoring or undermining those that do not accomplish it. After noting that “CNN, Democrats, and the rest of Washington” agree that “the Ukraine whistleblower is a hero...doing a vital service this country,” Carlson pointed out that “we have whistleblowers here (in Washington) and they’re almost always ignored and mistreated by the people in power. All the cool kids look down on real whistleblowers.

Late last week, after word came that the former ambassador to Iraq, Joe Wilson, had passed away, MSNBC repeated some of the misinformation that journalists and other liberals pushed during the George W. Bush era as anchors Joy Reid and Katy Tur lauded Wilson for disputing President Bush's claims that Saddam Hussein had tried to acquire uranium in Africa before the invasion of Iraq.

In the wake of multiple news reports that a secret CIA asset close to Vladimir Putin was spirited away in 2017 over fears Russian intelligence had uncovered him, NBC News decided to act on claims Russian officials made about the man’s identity and tracked down the asset themselves. The visit from NBC national security correspondent Ken Dilanian apparently prompted the U.S. government to move the asset and his family. It was something the network seemed proud of during Tuesday’s NBC Nightly News.

On Monday, CNN chief national security correspondent Jim Sciutto aired a questionable story blaming President Trump for the extraction of a longtime CIA asset in Moscow. A Monday night New York Times story cast serious doubts on the reasons Sciutto cited for the 2017 extraction, but CNN has stood by Sciutto. All told, a NewsBusters tally of CNN’s live, on-air coverage found a staggering 181 minutes (excluding teases) for Sciutto’s initial report, subsequent follow-ups, and attempts to defend his allegations since it went public just after 9:00 a.m. Eastern Monday.

In the first 15 minutes of Wednesday’s Hardball, MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews and an assembled crew of cringeworthy guests to defend the Obama administration’s surveillance of the Trump campaign under the guise of alleged Russian collusion (built on some dubious pieces to begin with) while decrying the use of the word “spying.”

If you want to know what a serious radical leftist sounds like at an awards show, MRC's Brent Baker reported that when Boots Riley accepted an Independent Spirit Award for “Best First Feature,” he drew applause for this leftist rant: “The CIA is trying to have a coup in Venezuela...And we should all be putting our voices out to stop the U.S. from having regime change for oil in Venezuela.”

Joe Scarborough thought he was being so cute. No fewer than six times during his little spiel this on today's Morning Joe, while reading from the US government's WWII psychological profile of Adolf Hitler, Scarborough stressed that he was not intending to refer to anyone else. Joe never uttered the President's name, but coming from this world-class Trump hater, there was no doubt what parallel he wanted viewers to draw.

When the person who co-wrote a Trump-Russia book suggests that the outrage over John Brennan losing his security clearance is a tad much, perhaps the rest of the liberal media should take a chill pill. Appearing on the Friday edition of MSNBC’s All In, Yahoo! News investigative correspondent Michael Isikoff spared with fill-in co-host Ali Velshi and Natasha Bertrand from The Atlantic when he dared to suggested that “some of this is a little overwrought, the idea that it’s stifling free speech is kind of absurd.”

During Wednesday’s edition of The Lead, the panel found itself in a little bit of shock after learning that President Trump had revoked the security clearance of former CIA Director John Brennan, who has previously called President Trump treasonous in his new capacity as an NBC News analyst.

In a Wednesday move that was both praised and criticized, President Trump revoked the Top Secret security clearance for Obama-era CIA director and major Trump-critic John Brennan. The former spook is now an NBC News analyst, so the network didn’t take too kindly to their guy losing the mighty privilege he was granted.

Liberal ABC and NBC were in a full-blown meltdown Monday night after the White House announced the President was looking to revoke the security clearances of six former intelligence officials, whom they contend abused the privilege of retaining it after their tenure. They even tried to pretend most of the officials named weren't Obama appointees.
