USA Today Retroactively Changes Op-Ed to Use Woke Trans Language

Serious ethical question for any newspaper not named USA Today: If you accept an op-ed from an author representing one side of a highly controversial issue, is it right to change that writer’s words to conform with the language her opponents prefer? Is it right to do it retroactively, and without informing her? Further, is it right to call her original terminology “hurtful?”

Washington, D.C. has entered the battle against Big Tech with a new antitrust lawsuit against Amazon. D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine filed the antitrust complaint against Amazon. The lawsuit alleged that “[c]ompetition and consumers were directly harmed” by Amazon’s “anticompetitive business practices.” It also alleged that Amazon’s practices actually raise prices for consumers.
