What a difference a day makes! Yesterday, the Morning Joe crew was insisting that Mike Bloomberg immediately drop out of the race to clear the field for Biden and prevent a Sanders nomination. Today, after airing Bloomberg's wide-ranging interview with Kasie Hunt, Morning Joe was overflowing with praise for him!

The "fact checkers" at the Associated Press almost religiously stick to checking the claims of Donald Trump. But they drew widespread attention on Thursday for checking Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg on the coronavirus.Trump has not engaged in "reckless cuts" to the Centers for Disease Control.

During an otherwise softball interview with former Vice President Joe Biden aired on Thursday, NBC’s Today show co-host Craig Melvin started off by pressing the 2020 Democratic candidate on the support for socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, who “has been able to convince so many people, especially so many young people, that he’s their guy.”

Broad consensus on Morning Joe that to stop Bernie Sanders, Bloomberg should walk the plank and let Joe Biden compete with Sanders one-on-one. The "be gone, Bloomie" scenario was predicated on the assumption that Biden will handily win the South Carolina primary this Saturday.

This week, the "fact checkers" at both The Washington Post and Snopes.com have thrown the penalty flag at Joe Biden for his repeated claim that he was imprisoned in South Africa in the 1970s while trying to visit Nelson Mandela at the Robben Island prison. Sadly, the networks didn't seem to notice this historical gaffe before the South Carolina debate.

At the opening of Wednesday’s CBS This Morning, co-host Anthony Mason touted a new poll conducted by the network immediately following Tuesday night’s chaotic Democratic Debate. The survey of “Democratic debate watchers” found that 47% felt “nervous” about the field of 2020 candidates after watching the free-for-all.

News broke on Wednesday that ABC News journalist David Wright had been caught in a new Project Veritas video, exposing the reporter as a self-admitted “socialist” who hates his own network. He has since been suspended.
