Even after all of the votes have been cast, network correspondents present the results through the lens of their own biases — cheering when a Democrat wins, and snarling about imaginary dirty tricks when the voters back a Republican.

On Saturday night’s CBS Weekend News, White House reporter Weijia Jiang interviewed four female Trump supporters, asking them if they were offended as women by Trump’s attacks on Kamala Harris, insulting her intelligence, calling her a "sleazebag," and more. “Not a bit,” they said. Jiang didn't mention what Harris is calling Trump, starting with "petty tyrant."

Not only did Cordes pervert Trump’s words, she used the misrepresentation to claim that they affirm Kamala Harris’s argument that “he is a wannabe autocrat bent on revenge.”

HBO’s Bill Maher scolded the media on Friday’s edition of Real Time Overtime for their claims that Donald Trump called for former Rep. Liz Cheney to be shot. Maher’s rebuke was not out of any love for Trump, but a demand that the media not “lie to me” because the real context of Trump’s actual remarks was something that “hippies used to say.”

Taxpayer-funded National Public Radio will pounce on any cute anti-Trump angles they can find in the final days of this campaign. On Friday, NPR political reporter Susan Davis posted this beaut at NPR.org – “Meet the Democrats using porn ads to convince Trump voters to stay home.”

Recently, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson was celebrated on Morning Joe for writing a column which complained the media was rougher on Kamala Harris than Donald Trump. “Somehow, it is apparently baked into this campaign that Trump is allowed to talk and act like a complete lunatic while Harris has to be perfect in every way.”
