In an hour-long CNN special entitled Donald Trump’s Conspiracy Theories, host and serial plagiarist Fareed Zakaria dabbled conspiracies himself by pushing the idea of orchestrated and widespread voter suppression. Zakaria used claims that millions of people voted illegally in the 2016 presidential election as an excuse to dismiss the “voter fraud conspiracy theory.”

Substituting for Joy Reid on MSNBC's AM Joy, Tiffany Cross asked National Diversity Coalition for Trump's Bruce LeVell: "[H]as Donald Trump has ever promised you anything financially in exchange for your blind support of his administration, or helping his campaign?" Cross also "correct[ed]" LeVell for using the term "China virus," calling it "racist." But Cross repeatedly refused to answer…

If it weren’t so serious, this would be hilarious. Way back - way way back --- in 1964 --- Columbia University historian Richard Hofstadter penned a quickly famous article for Harper’s titled The Paranoid Style in American Politics. Hofstadter said, in part, this, bold print supplied here for emphasis:

When you let your political obsessions dominate you, what you end up with is a rather negative review of a fine documentary that isn't really about politics. Such was the case with Wednesday's Vox review by Alissa Wilkinson of the Netflix documentary Fear City: New York vs. the Mafia. 

Several times this week, MSNBC host Brian Williams has used his primetime show to hype Twitter comments by MSNBC contributor Steve Schmidt in which the bitter former Republican slammed federal agents in Portland as "jackbooted thugs" and "stormtroopers." In 1995, the NRA was trashed for using the phrase "jackbooted thugs" in a fundraising letter. The script has flipped.

David Rutz at the Washington Free Beacon took the time to confirm what everyone conservative could suspect: CNN's Media Unit obsesses over conservative or "far-right" media, and defends the left-wing press as somehow non-ideological.

The New York Times devoted an entire print page on Thursday to the ongoing clashes between left-wing radicals and federal officers in Portland, under the rubric “‘Whose Streets?
